It's amazing how you won't just accept the 12th pick

We can still get one of Pettersson, Necas, Glass if we pick around 10-11. At least 1 should be there, and we're grabbin em

Outside of Hischier and Patrick, are any of them really head and shoulders above the others that it really matters if we draft 9th instead of 12th?

They each have their different strengths and weaknesses, but I like all of them. I have them ranked Pettersson, Necas, Glass right now, but any one of them would be a win in my book. The point is they may be all gone by 12. They could all be gone by 9. Who knows. I'm not even mentioning Vilardi and Mittelstadt, who I think are more likely gone by 5-7. Each pick does matter. The story of missing out on great players only takes 1 pick. Gives you options regardless. But I see a forward drop off potentially after them, or at least how I have them ranked, even if those named are pretty same tier.

It just seems that except for the top 3 or 4, the rest are ranked all over the place.

That list is 2 months old. I'm just telling you how I have them ranked. I've spent a lot of time watching them myself, so I do have some strong opinions on guys.

If we get Necas and not Glass, or whatever it is, fine. I'm not so picky. I just don't want to miss out on ALL of them. One could be there at 14, I don't know. There certainly isn't as much consensus as in other drafts. But your number of options are never better at 14 than 10.

Glass could absolutely be there from 12-14

Don't see it tbh. He's a huge riser.....seems like a good character kid....he's one of the top CHL prospects, and that ease and closeness of scouting always matters. Top CHL guys often go higher than Euros. It wouldn't shock me to see someone use a 3-7 pick on Glass. Or Pettersson. Or Necas. But GMs usually feel more comfortable selecting a CHL kid over a kid in a second tier Swedish or top Czech league. He might be the least likely to be there of the 3 I listed.

It's amazing how easy it looks when you use your best players with empty nets. Wow! Who'd have thunk it!

Great win by the Flyers and an important two points. If the Flyers can continue to play like this they will win a lot of hockey games.
