The Risto hit should have been maybe a game suspension. Little long for my liking but what can ya do. I'm not overly upset by it.

The Crosby stuff doesn't bother me all that much either because that crap happens all the time. I'd rather him not do that and continue to focus on being the best player the NHL has seen in a long long time in this league. Until the NHL actually starts cracking down on it you will continue to see it.

What Crosby did though will lead him to be even more of a target. You have to think by now all players have seen the footage of both incidents.

I don't think the slash is that big of a deal just because it's Crosby everyone's b!tching about it

I agree for the most part, however how many times do you see injuries playing a part in the league determining sumplemental discipline? If Guentzal is not bloodied or concussed, does Risto get 3 games? Methot was injured and the league should at least consider that when reviewing plays like that. There is just no consistency in the NHL.

hope they do the same thing with Jack eichel which they probably will

Protecting star players in other sports ie the NBA anytime Lebron drives the net and gets touched theres a foul called.

Not letting Lebron kick a guy in the nuts...

If the NHL wants to protect star players by calling more when they are fouled that's fine. Generally speaking better players have the puck more and create more chances so they should be drawing more penalties.

You cannot however let star players spear a guy in the nuts, slash a guy in the hand or like Ovi used to board a player from behind.

That is the issue.
