What's the deal with NHL sticking it to the Sabres with suspensions every chance they get? 3 games for Risto? Is it because he was remorseful? I would think that due to T he fact that he was so remorseful had to get him a game less, so had he not benn, he would've got 4 games? What a joke.

Also, looked like there were some dreams of JT being a Sabre. He's not a UFA until Summer of 18 right? ROR for JT this summer, would you?

Contrary to popular belief, the league is not out to get the Buffalo Sabres. Good teams get preferential treatment. It may not be fair, but it's the reality. The Sabres got "screwed" here because they aren't a good team.

Also, if any GM is offered O'Reilly for Tavares and doesn't take it, he should be fired on the spot.

First, let the league suspend us all the way into a top 3 pick. No Risto for four games only means four practically guaranteed losses.

As for ROR for Jt, can't do it. I would much rather have JT, but with is UFA status next year, we can't risk him walking away. To end up with nothing for all we gave Colorado would set this organization back too far. I do see us putting in a bid next year for JT, though. And, I don't see him staying with the Islanders, too much dysfunction over there, and now problems with even staying in there new building. They were supposed to build a winner around JT, instead he got Neiderreiter, Reinhart, Strome, and Dal Calle as top 5 picks whom he was supposed to win cups with.

I have my reasons ....... just answer the question.

This is the problem though. Crosby's spear and Ristolainen's hit should be looked at separately. Crosby definitely should have been suspended, but the fact that he wasn't does not absolve Ristolainen's hit in any way, shape, or form. 3 games is definitely harsh, but a suspension was definitely warranted. The correct answer here was both being suspended, not neither.

Given the track record on spears Crosby deserved a hefty, for the NHL, fine, but not a suspension. Risto should've gotten a slap on the wrist, a fine and a don't do it again. Instead Crosby got absolutely nothing, and Risto got a bigger suspension than Tkachuk who has displayed his dirty side many, many times this season already as a rookie. Not to mention more than Manning whose hit on Guentzel was way worse.
