I'm unwilling to comment on this until I know where he ranks in empty netters.

Good first period. I like the way the Leafs are playing, although they were hemmed in a bit in the last minute or two.

Side note: I'm always impressed by Anaheim. They seem to always start out a little rocky but then somehow finish tops in Division.

I swear to god. If the Hawks get that goal overturned...

Oh, because Laine(BUST) has 3 of them and that makes him not as good as people think?

If that wings goal didn't count after Chicago won the game vs Toronto on an even more obvious offside I'll laugh

Solid D and good (though aging) forward core. They are good.

6 less games, more points. Bloated stats because of empty netters.

Oh for sure. Just a well run team. Need a few forward tweaks going forward but they are legit contenders every year.

salty fans for some reason. Imagine if the Leafs took Laine and they had the same stats? We'd be sucking Laine off because the coach had so much trust to put him in for the last minute, and...and he still had more points than Matthews in less games played

Laine has the makings of a great goal scoring winger.

Matthews has the makings of a complete number C. Basically, almost everything you could ask for in a hockey player.

I don't need to see him win a calder trophy to validate how good he is.

You know they'll be ready in the playoffs too. You don't want to face them if you're in the west.

Matthew's has 33 goals in like 72 games? Even with 20 games godless?! Man if he can be consistent for 82 games.

For some reason? That reason is all the "should've considered Laine" trolling. Nobody would care otherwise.

I wouldn't want to face Kesler, Perry and Getzlaf and possibly a hot Gibson.

I think it'd be cool to face them, seeing as that means it'd be the Cup final.
