These guys have to be homers - it's part of the gig. So it's understandable. Just some of the stuff he writes and says really seems anti-leaf to me. Purely personal opinion.

I don't give a crap if you think your team is better than all others and continually try and spin horse sh@t into gold in your columns. But keep other teams out of it.

It seems to be a Winnipeg inferiority complex, much like Paul Maurice taking a swipe at Babcock a few weeks ago. Just worry about your team.

Agree, d-men will cost, I am not sure that free agency is the way to go either. There will be lots of d-men moving before and during the draft. Some teams are in real cap jail. Anaheim - has three guys making close to $25 million that are not producing much and are over 30. Linholm Hampus would be a good target, much better
in my opinion than Trouba. And a good salary. Will have to trade with teams in cap trouble, Winnipeg is not in that situation.

Best part of the whole thing was Rick Vaive was signing autographs. I told him I was his old paperboy - he obviously couldn't have cared less. But he signed my jersey!

The next guy they had for autographs was Gary Leeman, but I felt it best to avoid him, as I would have ended up asking him about Al Iafrate's wife.

Dinner afterwards was at The Fox - a pub just south of the ACC. The nachos were absolutely disgustalicious.
