I believe the point is that nobody ever really got the chance to see if Barzal was truly NHL ready or not. He got limited minutes in 2 games.

OK he can't play in the NHL because he's too young. If they wanted to keep him for 10 games then he should have gotten a fair shot and the time to go along with it. Weight played jhs because he said he earned it and I think he would have given barzal the same opportunity. Cappy is on here because he's the (frank)ing idiot that sat him and the same guy who played Brian strait because he played a heavy game. Winnipeg gave the same guy 1 game and said see ya so this gives me reason to believe that barzal was never given a fair shake by a guy know for making moronic lineup decisions

Truthfully, I think that lineup sucks. Not because you put together a bad lineup but because it's featuring 3 rookies that will be relied upon in big roles (and because some of the supporting cast blows).

If Strome is our second line center again next year we have major problems.

Why? A guy that gets to the dirty spots in the crease and scores, Tavares(assuming he rebounds next year), and the guy who is in 4th right now in 5 on 5 primary assists.

This line is top 5 in 5 vs 5 points per 60 min. Imagine if JT rebounded next year.
