Well, imagine if you lived in a place that was a tundra 4 months out of the year, was a small market town trying to be a big city, and had nothing but heartbreak to show for 114 years of top-tier sports. You'd probably have little brother syndrome, too.

I love the hypocrisy from other fans. Crosby gets speared, cup checked, cross checked to the head, slashed more than any other player in the league and he gets told to suck it up, quit crying and stop being a baby. Crosby does something and everyone and their mother say it should have been a penalty, what a cheap shot it was. Should the cup check been a penalty, of course it should have been. I will make a deal, the refs can call every cheap thing Crosby does, as long as every cheap thing that is done to Crosby gets called too.

haha dubinsky and marc staal are just full on prevented from playing then.

still. pretty bush league by crosby. he is the face of the league, and an absolute gentleman and scholar off of it, but even as he's grown up he's always been much more of a snot type opponent than a lady byng

Have the Penguins gotten a new training/health staff within the past ten years? It just seems like being "unlucky" is not a good answer in terms of the amount of injuries the Penguins have sustained compared to every other team in the league. I hate to put blame on the health and training staff for something that could really just be unlucky, but it just seems very unlikely the that the Penguins have been the most injured team so often and they are not to blame.
- joecool2931

Pens dont look to hit they look to play fast skilled hockey. Other teams look to hit all the time the result is Pens more injured than other teams. Thats the truth.

Cindy's action, or lack of, personifies his character. A promising linemate is knocked silly and Cindy just stood there. Tells me that Cindy doesn't have Guentzel's back and that is a problem for a team. I wonder when Guentzel comes back if he will go after a player that hits Cindy in equal fashion. Will any of Cindy's teammate think twice about jumping in and supporting Cindy after a hit? I wonder what chain reaction this sets into place. Pittsburgh showed itself as a soft team, with a cowardly leader. Gutless reaction by Cindy and I think this will hurt his team mindset going forward. Chicken.

And, again, Cindy's actions personify who he is. He takes a cheap shot to O'Reilly when he thinks no one is watching. Cindy is a gutless coward. Your team may get goals from him, but his character is one of a -meow-. Do you Pittsburgh fans love Marchand's cheap antics??? He is a similar high skill player who plays dirty when he thinks no one is looking.

Dude do you watch hockey? The Pens are the defending champs and have the second best record in the league! As far as "Cindy" is concerned, no one takes more cheap shots. I could give you dozens of examples but maybe you should go back and watch last years finals, Thorton assaulted Crosby for 5 straight games...

Perhaps you should be more concerned about your pathetic underachieving hockey team (Pens currently have 8 regulars out including Malkin and Letang so save the "we re injured bs" for Brian May and Jiggs Mccdonald)

The Pens are 8th in the league in hits. The Blackhawks are last the Caps 15th.

Cindy huh? Is this guy really a Flyers Troll in disguise?
Clearly after all Crosby goes through he must be a cat.
What would you have him do? Definitely a Flyers fan. What team wants its mega star--who is paid to score goals-- to drop the gloves and fight every time his teammates get hit? Thats right the Flyers! And what do they have to show for it?
Yes it was a cheap shot. I acknowledge that. I want to see if you have enough brains to acknowledge the same when Dubinsky tries to take batting practice with Crosby's head in the first round of the playoffs and the NHL refs do nothing about it....

Nice job on the click-bait blog RW. I know it's tough to get traffic on your posts.

Do we have any idea why Crosby went after ROR like that? As far as I know they don't have a history and ROR isn't know for chippy play.

As for the Risto hit, if the puck doesn't get tipped by 28, it's a clean play. There's no way Risto could stop in this scenario. That being said, the puck wasn't there and I agree with the 5 and a game, but suspension coming? C'mon. It was fun watching the rookie go night night while trying to stand up though. At least Risto can get some rest now.

Obviously then they must have the puck more. Why would you hit if you have the puck in your possession. Really dumb point to make...

"Its a clean play" Once again, this is why we are calling you uneducated hockey fans. Blows to the head, are not clean. Charging, which is what he was doing as well, also illegal.

Please stick to NHL 2007, or your own team's blogs where stupid opinions are embraced and celebrated.

I'm just saying if you are a good possession puck team you have less opportunity to make hits which the Pens, Hawks and Caps are. I did not say the Pens don't look to hit or that they don't hit. I am about as chilled out as i can possibly be.
Have a nice evening and relax.
