also, outside of Werenski on CBJ. is there another rookie D even close to playing as well as Skjei? I havent seen much of Werenski but to think Skjei is only a rookie still amazes me.
- richardson30

Werenski is a power play hawk. 21 of his 46 points have been via the PP. 5 of Skjei's 34 points have come on the PP. Via Cordell, D-men who've played at least 1000 minutes 5v5 only Burns, Karlsson and Hamilton have more points. Brady Skjei becoming an elite d-man quickly.

If you're going to nitpick at least tell me "I'm pretty sure those are geese, a pick-up truck, and a leaf blower"

And leave out the HOE on the back of the truck, the paper towels and the Ortho Weed-B-Gone?

Yes let's make a line with our leading goal scorer and our highest scoring center a defensive line
- rangerdanger94

of late neither have done much. plus i am kind of hoping Grabner may be able to help Steps out of his slump. I call it a defensive line but i mean the line AV will play against the other teams top line. all 3 guys play well defensively which should help to translate into more offensive opportunities.

I started my 2nd job overnights this week and looking for some input in netflix series to binge watch...any suggestions? By job I mean, do nothing and then sleep for 5 hours

I've seen breaking bad, sons of anarchy, stranger things, walking dead and couldn't get into game of thrones (hate the dialogue lol)

Sherlock, Daredevil, Firefly. Death Note and Attack on Titan if you like anime.

do you think his ceiling is higher than McDs? I think Skjei is a bit more offensively skilled but not up to McD's level on the defensive side yet. but that takes time.

My personal opinion.... yes much higher.
He wont put up Leetch-like numbers because of the way the game has changed, but he has Leetch-like ability, unquestionably in my mind and Leetch is my all time favorite Ranger.

Yes. Mcdonagh didn't have the instant offense that Skjei has. And it's odd because Skjei wasn't an offensive player at Minnesota either.

I fell the same way watching him play. Leetch is my favorite as well. Should have retired a Ranger.

Well yeah not that nigh, but it won't be out of the question for him to put up 40-50 points a year in his prime. He only needs 6 more this year to hit the 40 mark.

And that's with only 5 pp points and only 17:07 TOI per game. I think it's fair to say his ceiling is a bit over 50. Dare I say 60+

He's on pace for 48 this season and like I just said; that's with only 5 pp points and with only 17:07 TOI per game. How can you say his ceiling is below 60
- and that's not Karlsson numbers. EK65 is a ppg player!

He's only been a PPG player once. 451 points in 551 games.

Don't be a jerk, Burton. He had 78 pts when he was 22. The next season Matt Cooke crippled him. Takes time to come back from that awful injury. 82 pts last season. And you remember where he's playing right

Quotes not working, but:
I would rather see Fast with Stepan and Grabs. Make that a Defense line. Put Hayes with Kreids and Zucc. Stepan has not earned his ice time of late. I really like the kid line, Vesey and Buch should stay together. gives them another skilled F to play with. Fast is a defense F. he plays well with another energy or defense F, not skill.

- richardson30

I get what you mean by a "defensive line" and don't think it's a bad idea at all. However, I don't believe Fast will stay in the top 9. Lines could look strong though with that line.

Kreider Zib Zucc
Nash Hayes Miller
Grabner Stepan Fast
Buch Lindberg Vesey
