maybe so...a but bad horsepoop call has nothing to do what happened before...

Whatever, but it'd be nice if just one game people didn't whine about the refs. It's EVERY. SINGLE. GAME....refs refs refs...Hawks had 5 powerplays in a row, including a very close DOG penalty that gave them a choice 4v3 powerplay going into OT....shoulda never even gotten to the point the refs would make a poor call late.

Team got a point which is good and showed moxie. They need to play more consistent and I suspect they will when the playoffs start.

It's better than a loss, I can't believe they came back again. Jurco can go away and Schmaltz with another turnover that lead to a goal, rather sloppy defensive game by the Hawks, playing down to their competition, cardiac kids

Hayden is already light years more effective than Jurco who has now gone almost 40 games without a goal. I'd rather see Vinny in the lineup. At least 4 TOs from Jurco in the neutral zone. Oh well, fun 3rd period and a point. Still, outshot then by 30 so you'd like to see 2 points but Miller player like it was 2007 and not 2017.

I will admit after Q benched him for failure to cover the point he did play with more energy, but I don't think we have anything with him. It was worth a try and I applaud Bowman for taking a shot. I think it's getting close to time to shut him down and put someone else in there.

Crazy comeback. That extra gear is impressive. Take the extra point, most teams don't earn a pt when they're losing by 3 goals in the 3rd period.

Side note...

Anyone else sick of hearing Pat Foley regurgitate the same line about the Sedin twins?

"Here's Henrik - where's Daniel."
"Henrick to Daniel - where's Henrick."
"Henrick gets it back, looking for Daniel."

He's been using those same exact lines EVERY SINGEL TIME we play them for 7-8+ years now.

They made it interesting but in the end they got what they deserved for the lackadaisical play through the first 40 minutes. It was going to eventually catch up with them but you can't play that way when your goalie isn't having a great night and giving up 5 goals on 15 shots is very bad. CC didn't have it tonight and the team in front of him let him down.

The 'Hawks flat out DOMINATED the Canucks tonight. I don't even think that the 'Nucks got a shot on net in the final 15 minutes of the third period since the 'Hawks were in their zone the entire time. The 'Hawks just played sloppy with the puck and too many turnovers led to the few scoring chances that Vancouver had - unfortunately they converted on most of them. Bad luck.

For sure, Hayden continues to impress. If he keeps this up he'll be starting in the playoffs.

No sure what you want Schmaltz to do. He made a great defensive play and then sutter made one right back. It happens. Hartman Panik and Hayden continue to impress. They are exactly the type of forwards this team was missing.

All 4 Canuck goals followed rather egregious decision making and TO's.

...so tighten it up.

Queeneville scores his first NHL goal!

That is correct. His nephew, 20 year old John, 6th nhl game this season. Formerly a 30th overall pick. He toils for the NJ Devils.

I don't see the hockey sense or intensity. Tries to dangle (and lose the puck) too much and isn't very strong on the puck in the tough areas. Vinny is a lil guy but he plays hard on the puck and with pace. I'd hope Vinny's time in Rockford has a similar effect on his game as it did for Schmaltz.

Emphasis on the past tense...

Hartman and Panik appear to be set, and Hayden certainly looks promising for such a small sample size.

Here's hoping it continues, because all 3 are exactly what this club needs going forward.

I think you flip Schmaltz and Anisimov. Gives Schmaltz two guys who can get pucks and let's him be the play maker. Lets Anisimov do the dirty work for 88 and 72.

Another game another offside review. It's becoming routine for a Hawks game. Too bad they got the call right (again) because it took a nice goal away from Hayden.

Still don't think there's any way Anisimov isn't between Kane and Panarin when he returns. However, I wonder if we'll see more of Hartman down the middle.

I think Jurco can have a seat as soon as he's eligible for the expansion draft
