You think they can jump the Jets or Sabres? They have a shot if they lose in regulation tonight. Any other circumstance and I think it's difficult to jump the Jets. Sabres are going to be hard to jump as well. They'd need to really suck down the stretch.
- PhillySportsGuy

I dont think they will jump either. In my best case scenario they maybe jump 1 of them, but I haven't really even considered they jump both.

Would you be in favor of abolishing the draft?
- PhillySportsGuy

Friedman to report to the phantoms. Anyone know if it's an ATO or is he burning a year off of his elc?
- Just5

I'm assuming ATO as I don't think he had enough leverage to finagle the burning of a year

Vandevelde is indivisible from this team...
- FlyersGrace

What has Vandevelde done since the last time a puck accidentally deflected off his skate and into the net? Last season was the real Chris Vandevelde. Brandon Manning is junk too. Play Nick Schultz out.

Just give each team a certain amount of money based on where they finish in the standings. Worst team gets most money and best team gets least money. Players can then choose who to sign with.

See Werenski, Zachary (waivers will be different though and it will depend on GP)

Lazy: contract starts next year...ATO this year

Here's my concept: the draft order will be determined by a jousting tournament. Teams that finish lower in the standings will get accordingly longer jousting lances.

Possible wrinkle: the last place team will get a nearly unmanageable long lance, incentivizing teams to finish as close to last as possible without actually getting it

Who gets to joust from each team? Does it have to be a member of the team? The owner? Do teams get to hire jousting analysts to get an edge?

Knowing Bettman, it would be held on an undisclosed date, the lengths of the lances wouldn't be revealed, it wouldn't be televised, and for some reason they'd still feature a special halftime musical guest: the Plain White T's

these are interesting options, we'll reveal more once development has been completed (i.e. you lose any interest which could be converted to HRR)

So you think they should've intentionally lost the game?
- Scoob

It's called gamesmanship. In that particular case bench players should've been played. There are infinite number of ways to accomplish this while maintaining the appearance of being competitive.

I hope they dress Vandevelde so you can see him live.

Did you bring a sign to hold up? Maybe he'll toss you a puck or score a hat trick so your dad will buy you a dog or something.

He's pretty gracious like that.
