My prediction:
Flyers go 3-7-1 for rest of season. - Glak18
@WIN: W
@MIN: L
@CBJ: L
@PIT: L
OTT: W
NYI: W
NJD: L
@NYR: L
@NJD: L
CBJ: W (CBJ resting players?)
CAR: W
I have them winning 5 games, with 2 of those games being garbage games at the tail end of the season.
In my mind, they were eliminated from the playoff conversation weeks ago. |

Biggest 1st round pick busts in Flyers history over the last 30 years (biggest bust to less of a bust than the ones before him):
1. Ryan Sittler
2. Brian Wesenberg (debuted with Flyers)
3. Maxime Ouellet
4. Jeff Woywitka
5. Ryan Parent (debuted with the Flyers)
Any arguments?
Edit: Brian Wesneberg added, Bowen removed. - jmatchett383
How many of those were top 5 picks? zero

It would be the cherry on the poop sundae.
OTOH, I can remember going to a season ending game against Carolina, where they gave Cal Heeter his NHL debut, so maybe the Flyers surprise us and bring up some kids and they lose that game? IMO, I'm not expecting Hextall to promote anyone from LHV down the stretch of the Flyers season., |

Technically doesn't Sittler get a pass because the Flyer skipped the 92 draft trying to trade for Lindros? |

Hextall was misquoted in that article after watching his interview. Here's what he said "You can look at some nights and say its puck luck, but you can't look at the whole year and say it's puck luck"

Pfft Tim has more important things to do then pay attention to what is actually said. Talk about nitpicking. |

So WPG's future is fine with a horrid defense core, a poopty gm and coach, and basically no goaltending but the Flyers are a rudderless ship heading nowhere fast.
Makes sense. - Mordecai

My guess is there is a typo or editing error. Can should be can't. Either way, it's poor journalism. |

He will slot in nicely on the Phantoms when Morin, Sanheim and/or Hagg makes the Flyers next year. |

The Sittler one is a bit unfair - he got decapitated. |

You read way too much into the word producing.
Provorov and Konecny are in their first year and Ghost in his 2nd.
For poops & giggles..compare Konecny with Ehlers and Ghost with Trouba. Notice how Winnipeg prospects have more experience.
I am not saying Flyer prospects are better or worse, just saying Winnipeg started their process sooner. - Glak18
well to be fair, Ehlers is a year older than Konecny not to mention taken 9th in the draft and Trouba, while the same age as Ghost, was taken 9th while ghost was taken in the 3rd round. |

As could I, because it makes the quote the exact opposite of what he meant. And it caused 2 days of unnecessary vitriol in here. |
