iT'S HOCKEY RELATED, we wont have enough contributors to cover every team like here & obviously it will LIKELY be more Ranger centered cause the core of people running it are Ranger fans but we already said we relay want to keep it unbiased.

Come help us out & bring some infidel isles fans w you.

Seriously though, can a write a weekly "Your team sucks" column? I'll pick one team per week and explain why they are just terrible all-around.

TRUE STORY...my brother worked at a union factory in North Bergen NJ & the place def had a "mobbed up" feel to it. One night he was joking with another guy about that scene from Goodfellas w the shine box quote & the other guy says to my brother dead serious, "never quote that or talk about Mob poop around here, see that guy? He's the real Billy batts nephew". He was a guy who shadily hung around the warehouse now & then obviously "collecting" for someone. My brother asked around & the story was confirmed.

I hunt with an old guy who is retired Nassau County Corrections. He's talked at length about how he had guys like Henry Hill, Jimmy Burke (Conway in the movie), and Paul Vario (Cicero in the movie) locked up in his jail. He said they were the nicest guys in the world.

He grew up in Uniondale and apparently didn't snitch on some connected guys in some instances where he could have, when he was young, and all the sudden young guys were carrying his mother's groceries in for her, dropping stuff off at the house, etc...

It's pretty cool to hear him talk about it. I take it all with a grain of salt, but I have no reason to think it's total BS.

The same shop had Chris Rock's Uncle working there, they joked with him "If your Chris Rock's Uncle, you shouldn't have to work." HE said he doesn't have to work, he just likes to push forklifts around & work the graveyard shift. Sense of humor just like Rock my brother said.

All that crazy scene with Henry running around all coked up w the helicopters was around Nassau County, the Hill family in the late 70s/early 80s lived in Rockville Centre. The narcotics detectives said Hill & his crew were running one of the largest pills & coke operation in all of NY/NJ.

Yeah my father grew up in a huge family in Rockville Centre, he's got some stories but nothing direct.

I believe it about Hill and that whole operation. I kinda wish I were older so I would have been alive to have seen some of this stuff unfold as it happened.

Probably my favorite part of the guy's story is when he basically said the scenes where they're all in jail and cooking big Italian dinners with nice food was relatively bang-on.

I follow an account on twitter, called NYR goal a day. They show somewhat recent goals scored over the years. Today was Jeff Woywitka scoring against Anaheim. I bring this up and ask sincerely. Do any of you remember a player wearing 6 in which the player was good? Seems like a bad luck number for the Rangers.

Ever read WISEGUY? The book by Nic Pileggi that led to the movie, great read too. Scorscse did such a great job bringing the realism of that to life.
