Nothing more pathetic then being a member or a fan of the Anaheim/Disney franchise as a whole:

hmm what's more pathetic, losing a game 7 or missing the playoffs the year after winning the Cup? Or following up two Cups in three years with a single playoff win in three years...
- gtrman09

Losing game 7 3 straight years hands down. That takes the cake for sure.

Not to mention LA was one of the 3 teams. You're welcome. Lol

Ok what's more pathetic, losing four game 7s at home or not qualifying to play in any important games at all...

You kings fans are just so clever!

- gtrman09

Both are bad what's your point? Your team celebrated a decade worth of not winning

Duck fans still can't get it through their thick skulls that losing quick WAS absolutely devastating. Kings would be in the PO hands down. Anyone to think otherwise is a moron.

It sucks that LA has turned into a laughing stock. But im still glad Dean got Iggy. Hes the exact type of guy you want. I just hope these players can take something from him. All our grit guys have zero edge and zero effort after whistles.

The same Quick that was pulled last night after giving up 2 goals in the first 4 minutes or so of the game?

Or the same Quick that's given up 2 goals in the first period tonight in a MUST WIN GAME against Edmonton?

Point being, losing Quick wasn't your teams problem. Budaj did quite good actually. The problem isn't Quick. And Quick isn't your answer.

The moron may be the one that thinks Quick and Quick alone would have made a difference this year.

The problem was losing Quick. These players did not have the confidence. Look what happened to MTL. Same poop. Oh look Price was healthy and they are in the playoffs. Oh look he got hurt and didn't make the playoffs. You are one of the morons who can't get it through to your brain. Have a nice night. You need confidence night in and night out you have a goaltender to win you games. Zatkoff didn't help and neither did budaj the last weeks he was playing.

That's the best you can come up with? Or the stupid attendance comparisons?

I just said I didn't think losing Quick was the reason the Kings have struggled this year. It's an opinion. You don't have to agree. I would be mad if I had to sit home and watch hockey on TV after April 9th. Since I'll still be going to games after April 9th, I'm not mad.

Oh it was a total embarrassment to the NHL. I mean, the Jerseys arent anything special today but at least theyre not vomit inducing. Dropping the " Mighty" was a good start...too bad their still the 'Ducks'. I mean, I get the cool and dangerous factor behind SHArks and Panthers...but what is it about a (frank)ing Duck that strikes fear in the hearts of anyone?

Pretty sad when youre in a league with the Wild ,Predators and Avalanche and YOU have the pooptiest na,e in the league.

No, they shouldn't bring up Brodzinski. When he's doing well and his team is going to be counting on him in the playoffs, the last thing that you want to do is bring him up to be immersed for weeks in losing and disappointment and lose his confidence before being sent back just when his real team needs him the most.

Any fan who thinks that they'd easily be in the playoffs with Quick is fooling himself. That's just denying that the team is as bad as they seem. It's more than obvious to those not looking to make excuses that the team's problems go beyond a freak injury. After all, if a team really is "devastated" by a single injury, then it's not that good of a team in the first place. It should be obvious, with their losing record since Quick's return and how it didn't magically give them the "confidence" to start scoring, that their problems go beyond bad luck.

Here, the University of Oregon tries to make their duck look tough and rowdy with poor results:

But why should Anaheim even have a team? Their attendance is poor even when they are successful. Their fans are probably the least knowledgeable in the league or at least close to it. There are cities who would be far more enthusiastic about a team or at least having one less team would lead to more depth and less scrubs on teams.

Last year the Kings were 9th in 5v5 SV%, this year they're 22nd. Budaj played better than expected, but he's no Quick. It definitely had an effect. Also, their 5v5 SH% is higher this year than last, so even with their poor scoring if they had the goaltending this year that they're more accustomed to it's not unreasonable to assume they'd be in a better spot. In the end it's just one of many reasons they are where they are, however.

I agree they shouldn't disrupt the Reign playoff push or mire him in what has to be a pretty down locker room right now. That said, there might be some value in getting him into one or two Kings games just to give him a reminder of what the next level is going to be like and as a reward for sticking to his development. I think most AHL games are on the weekend so a mid-week call-up for a game or two at Staples might work out if schedules aligned that way.

More generally, I get the feeling that this Kings team has already given up on this season. I don't see a lot of emotion in the players after these losses. Nolan last night looked like he was having trouble feigning seriousness when he was talking about not worrying about the standings and just trying to win each game. It makes me wonder if the players are sabotaging the coaching staff and management.

I fully understand this team is abysmal when it comes to everything but goaltending, but Quick would have stolen 3-4 games alone as he does every year. That would put them in the heart of the playoff race. Where as of now, they are all but mathematically out. Budaj played well beyond expectations. But he just was playing way too much to keep up the pace. And with that minor leaguer we had as a backup in Zatkoff, the team had no confidence with him in net and it more than likely got in their heads. If we as fans were nervous when Zatkoff was in the players more then likely were to. It's not all that far fetched. We're all humans. This team has no scoring threats which makes the situation that much more frustrating.

Better luck next year. Draft well. And get some speed and skill into this lineup or it'll be either a repeat of what happened this year or another first round exit. This team cannot keep up with the pens, sharks, oilers, caps, etc.

Agree with this. Brodzinski's focus should be winning a Calder Cup, but a cup of coffee wouldn't hurt.
