I wonder how Biega would look playing with Bo and Sven? Maybe another Burrows?

A waste of his talent keeping him on the 4th line.

I see a lot of Burrows style in the Bulldog . I would try him one game to see if you can catch lightning in a bottle.

I see him as a guy that would battle hard in front of the net. The problem is his current line mates cant get the puck to the net. Bo can.

I really cant stand Biega, but I do agree that he has looked pretty decent as a forward. He is tenacious on the forecheck and finishes every hit.

My reservation is that I am betting he is more a Kenins than a Burrows. Kenins came in, skated hard and hit everything before getting moved up and stopped doing it. I dont have faith Biega could consistently play like this

The leafs were in a MUCH better situation for a rebuild when Shanahan and LL took over. They had some good pieces in place, and had some high 1st round picks (Kadri/Reilly/Gardiner). Benning inherited a poop show. To answer your question, I would say we are at least 2-3 years away from being competitive. Leafs are still fighting to make playoffs and defensively are terrible, so it's not as though their rebuild is done..

Had to go to page 19 apparently. haha. Anyways, it's a nice Shannaplan. Looks better when your 20% chance at a generational player pays off. They got lucky. What they're doing is good. But they'd be so much farther away if they didnt get lucky.

Too late. VANTEL has already traded in his Megna jersey.

Sacrilege
Never disrespect the Megman by trading away his jersey, guy is a consistent top line......producer.

All jokes aside he's not half bad for a fourth liner.
And Bo's right wing position is being held for when Subban gets his shot in. HHOF right winger in the making right there.

Has anyone explained why the overtime goal was being reviewed by the on-ice officials? Quenville had used their time out so he couldn't challenge the call on the ice. When Toronto reviews a play the officials don't watch the video on their iPad. What the hell was going on?

Conversely, what if teams who are bad a shootouts have the puck in the final 3 seconds of OT and 'accidentally' score an OG to secure a point and not risk getting 0 points (from losing the SO)?
- walshyleafsfan

always an option... win win for them since they get at least one point if the other team goes the other way and scores. doubt anyone scores an OG, but would definitely have minimal defense...

Yeah. OG is a bit extreme. Maybe empty net for the final minute of OT?

So I thought I would be watching a rockets playoff game last night only to find out that I had been reading last years schedule. Disappointed.
My buddy down here was wondering why I kept referring to the Everett-Kelowna series.

I guess next time I make sure I Google proper schedule, idiot that I am.

When was the last time a head coach was demoted to Assistant coach behind the same bench.

Yes, obviously goaltender interference.

But why were the on-ice officials reviewing the play? Don't they only review video of the call when there is a coach's challenge? In this case the coach could not challenge as he had already used his timeout instead.

When the "war room" (stupid name) decides they're going to review a call they phone the timekeeper and talk to the refs via headset while they come up with their decision.

It looked like a whole different protocol was followed in this situation.

Always a 1st time. WD has done fine with the kids so keep him on board.
Rehiring a HC has happened so stranger things have occurred.
