Ruff coming back
- GERBE!!!75PTS

I don't want Ruff back, but this team needs a coach with some fire imo. Bylsma is bland. I hope he gets canned if for no other reason than his inability to craft a game plan that plays too the strength of his best players. I doubt he gets canned but honestly unless we bring in 3 new defensemen next year, it doesn't really matter anyway

22 of 43 points in the second half of the season, and already more points than last season with 10 games to go.
- stashu

reinhart has a higher point per 60 than ror, kane, or any other player not named jack or okposo on this roster

on paper this is a fringe playoff team

when they got healthy they stunk

with a group of risto, mccabe, bogo, franson, kulikov and gorges

it's an average group of 6 d men

given the goaltending and pp results this year, there was enough to overcome the average D

I still put the blame more on disco sucks dan and murray than the core of this team

As soon as you're born you start dying.

Again, I've set the mood for this blog.

Again he is not bad and he is not hurting this club but to be a good team he needs to be better starting in his own zone

No points in his last 3, so can't deny that, but the prior 17 games (which lead up to another 3 game drought), he went without a point in 6 games, only once in those 17 games was it back-to-back games without a point. 14 points in those 17 games.

If only the rest of the team could disappear like that.

- stashu

He's a good player, but again we are talking about a 2nd overall pick, not Zemgus Girgensons

He's tied for 102nd in the NHL in scoring with more games played quite a few ahead of him. He was 142nd in scoring last year.

Not a very impressive jump right now considering a lot of guys his draft status start to take off in year 2

and yet his point per 60 minutes played is better than our 7 million dollar center

if you want to bash anyone, bash the gm that took him over leon

maybe he's just worried about getting to a defined spot on the ice instead of playing the game

Besides filling in at center during an injury pinch he has had a pretty consistent spot in the Rw slot of the top 6. He's not bad but as a #2 overall pick there is no way he is meeting the overall impact expectations that he should in his third year

And regarding 90.. Sbroads was the first to mention weeks ago that he should be looked at regarding production

Yeah - kinda.

(I red it.)

ROR first in forwards ATOI.
Risto fourth in D ATOI.
Those are good gets, Pach.
And they feel like a coach whose priority is not to develop a team.

Maybe, I don't think he sucks or anything. He's obviously a guy you can play on a top line.

some horses break to the lead--some of them win, place or show, and still others fade...

then there are horses that just ride in the pack and make their move at the appropriate time...

it's two years into a 21 yr. old's career

I get your disappointment they didn't draft Leon, but you get what you're dealt with as a fan...

To say he disappears, as you said, is just nonsense though, and now you're jumping behind additional arguments to knock the kid.

How is anyone supposed to jump out as some superstar on a poop team - as you continue to say the team is? What next - if he had 5 more points on this team he'd be ranked (tied) for 64th in the league. There are much "better" players than him with less points, and many players "worse" than him with more.

When this team is good, and he's some middling player (like apparently Matt Duchene is) and has failed to improve year-over-year, then I understand bashing the guy.

Being a #2 pick (FIRST FORWARD!! HE MUST BE AS GOOD AS MCDAVID IS!!!) doesn't lock you in as a 70-80 point every year in your career guy. He's on pace for 49 points this season - 7 points or 16.6% better than last season. Not bad growth for such a scrub.

What game this year is the "Sam Reinhart game"?

I can name a bunch for Jack, Kane, ROR even.

I can't think of really any game 23 was dominant or looked the part of a star.

Also, this is so frustrating. Who called him a scrub? Who said he should be McDavid.

There is so much middle ground that's missed it's nonsense
