Cmon.

reinhart ATOI 17:21
ROR ATOI 21:40

ROR is the defensive guy, Reinhart is the offensive guy

But don't get lost in the big picture.

- Der Kaiser

Oh, I get it. You don't think Bylsma wants to score, so he plays ROR more than Sam, right?

I must be an idiot.

I'm sitting here reading this crap even though everyone keeps saying the same things over and over. Which means I'm an idiot because I'm just wasting my time.

No. I think that Bylsma's game plan is exactly what we all recognize it to be, and precisely what we saw them play last night.

Score one, feel really lucky to get a second, and then hold on for dear life.

PS. I am an unpaid volunteer who had a limited role for a limited period of time.

Yes, silly statement. ROR is a much better offensive player than Reinhart will ever be

We have the #1 PP in the NHL, that Sam Reinhart is apart of, on the 1st unit.

He was on a line with one of the best players in the NHL for 30-40 games

Yes, we know the coach wants 0 goals to be scored, and he's at such a disadvantage

- sbroads24

So, he's NOT on the first unit?

Or, hey, let's try and keep everything outside and take minimal chances with a 2 goal lead, because we have Brady Austin and Casey Nelson in our top 6 tonight. And with a goaltender who's playing solid, we trust him.

Look at our lineup man. Brady Austin, Casey Nelson, Josh Gorges in a top 2 role.

I haven't listened, and whether what he said is good or bad, does it seem like Yost has become the I'm smarter than you guy since he left here compared to when he was here and he had fully realized, well thought out reasonable opinions?

I'm sorry, perhaps I'm missing something.

What portion of anything you wrote here contravenes the original suggestion that Reinhart plays in a system that does not generate the same number of offensive opportunities over the course of a year as the one Barkov plays in (with the implication of that point being that he might not have taken the "step up" you ask about every time his name is mentioned for reasons entirely separate from individual talent).

his take was that the fact that there are questions around risto are the problem surrounding risto and by extension the sabres.

He brought up three categories, talent reputation and numbers. Most top pairing guys, there are no question marks in those categories. The fact that we know ristolainen fits the first two categories but cant figure out why the numbers category hasnt gotten better than "getting shelled in that third of the ice" presents the biggest problem.

Essentially either the management team isnt capable of figuring it out or risto isnt capable of figuring it out and you probably need to sort that out sooner or later. Comparison to Morgan Rielly is pretty bang on.

Maybe, but i thought this one was interesting he didnt really say either way nor did he make any rash claim (at least from what i remember).

The idea he brought up regarding risto and the questions about his numbers is more what got me.

My thought was more a general one and not specific to Risto or the Sabres.
