not Premeditated? maybe... but that doesn't mean he didn't know where Doughty was and he certainly wasn't aiming for his chest. To me that pic doesn't look like elbowing. It looks like the upper arm above the elbow. Still dirty but both players are looking at the ref. One to see if he can get sneak the hit in, the other looking like he's going to try and draw a penalty. Didn't work.

Best accommodations I would recommend Red Carpet inn or Olympia motel. Close to Whipper. Cheap booze nearby and plenty of nightlife.

I agree with Todd, I think the Flames will (and should) most likely look at extending Elliott this off season.

What do you guys think it would take to sign him/what would you like to see us sign him for?

I think I'd be okay with a 4x4 deal. He gets a raise, and that takes him until he's 35/36. He doesn't have a pile of miles on him so he has that going for him. I think he'd also be a solid 1b option for if/when one of our prospects take the starting role.

Thinking of coming to Calgary for the long weekend with my Gal, where is the best place/ cheapest place to get tickets to a game?! I have been dying to see a flames game in Calgary since 2002!!

Stayed at the Sandman downtown before. It's nice and fairly well priced for DT CGY. And it's front doors are right at the c-train station. As for tickets, stub hub is usually pretty decent to find something.

A 4 mill dollar contract wouldn't be too hard to get rid of if he poops the bed after a few years, especially if it was backloaded. Think I'd rather have Elliott than MAF (playoff choke artist) or Bishop (Martin Havlat in goalie form).

Could be worse, we could have tossed 6 million at a declining player who was too slow for the KINGS

Well, yeah, they never seemed to score more goals than the other team. That seemed to lead to a lot of losses . Elliott played great for them last year in the playoffs, even Blues fans weren't blaming him when they lost.
