He was pretty honest about Weise not working out so far.

"When you sign guys, we signed Dale Weise, I assume that is what you are talking about, to a four-year deal," Hextall said. "If you are evaluating right now, you say, 'It hasn't exactly been ... he hasn't put up the type of numbers we hope.'

"He's playing pretty well lately. He is certainly a better player than he has shown over the course of the year. At the time, we added depth to our lineup. We expect 12 to 15 goals and he is nowhere near that. So, in a nutshell, we know Dale can play better."

I think it's funny that Timmy still judges players on their +/- but he doesn't mention the Flyers best +/- players as having good seasons. Simmonds apparently is having a good or very good season, but I guess Schenn isn't despite their statistics being almost identical.

I think if people accept that he's a 4th liner, they won't be as upset about his production. I actually think he could make a half decent PKer if they gave him a chance.

No that's completely different simply because a player like Voracek is not expected to put up 80 points, since for him, 80 points would signify an outstanding season and the high end of his expected production level. Expecting 25 points from a player who plays on the 3rd line, is not at all unreasonable or a high expectation for a player like Weise.
