They basically need to win 9 out of their last 11 games. We all know it's not going to happen, the season is essentially over, save for an unlikely Islanders surge or an equally-unlikely complete and utter collapse by TBL/TOR. - eichiefs9
I'm clinging to hope here I said I'd stay positive until the end so I am. Two more weeks and we can all wait for them to do nothing in offseason and female dog for 4 months |

I really think we're going to see some major changes this offseason. Cpt will likely chime in with a vulgar comment asking why I would ever think that based on the past and he'd be wholly correct.
If they sit on their hands this offseason then come September it's time to start discussing what kind of package we think they'd get for Tavares. |

If they don't have Pulock and Halak up here in time for the Ranger game then I will be utterly convinced that Snow is more concerned with BPT's playoffs than the Islanders. - eichiefs9
That's exactly how this guy thinks. I know it's hard to wrap your head around it but he's been like that since the day he was hired |

I'm hanging all my hopes on a PoHO. If that turns out to be a bust then I don't know what I'll do. |

I just wanted to chime in to let you know you're a dack.
All depends on the owners. We have new ones so there's a glimmer of hope. |

I'm 25. I remember the really worse times than this. Trust me. I dealt with the rebuilds. I've dealt with the stupid firing of Laviolette. Emotionless Scott Gordon. Rick Bowness. When I was a baby, my family took me to games and ironically one of them was the game where Turgeon got cheapshotted by Dale Hunter. So, yeah. I've dealt with a lot worse than this. And this honestly hasn't been that bad. All we honestly need is a analytics savvy HC. Media people as well as former players have praised management for our draft picks. I'll only call for his firing if he fails to hire the right coach. We finally now, not 3 years ago or 5 years ago, now, we finally have a loaded farm system with a lot of potentially great talent. Just need the coach to bring them out. If ownership can talk Snow into firing Capuano, I'm sure they can pressure him into completing the 2nd half of his job and finding the right coach. - bgainesDM
He should have been fired along with him because Crappy should have been fired 3 years earlier.
At 25 you only have about 10 years with hair on your balls watching this team so you have no idea what's it's like being a fan of this team the since its exitance and the transformation from once great Hockey team and organization and maybe the best team of all time to the laughing stock of the league. |

With Halak, maybe. But not addressing the abhorrent defense on this team when he has a perfectly acceptable alternative in Bridgeport is wanton disregard for the Islanders' playoff chances.
I'm over the "Pulock needs to play top pairing minutes in Bridgeport" excuse. In the past I agreed with it, but at this point it's irrelevant. He's an NHL player and needs to be here. Putting that aside for a moment, Pelech/Mayfield have both played with our #1 defenseman at various points this season. If they can handle getting Leddy-minutes then there is absolutely no reason that Pulock couldn't do it as well. - eichiefs9
Pulock should be up and he can help, but unless the Isles forwards get a clue on how to play D it will not be enough. |

And still the laughing stock of the league. They bring it on themselves. They celebrate a seven game series loss and celebrate a series win against the other laughing stock of the league like they just won the cup. A twenty five year old fan hasn't suffered enough just yet |

Of course but the point is really that, if they're going to lose, at least do it with the best possible team you could ice at that point in time.
I could accept missing the playoffs if they lost with their best players playing down the stretch. I won't accept missing the playoffs because of the GM's inability to either: a) put grudges behind him, b) think logically, or c) A&B |

I agree Cpt and just the asinine statement he made saying we will keep as many goalies as we want says it all about him and his obnoxious attitude.
Thing is wtf has he ever done to hold himself at such high regard |

Garth and Cappy should have been a package deal. It's been painful going from the dynasty years to all the lousy owners, GM's, coaches, and players. |

I agree. Lose with Halak and Pulock up and Hickey and Seindenberg not playing. Try Ho Sang with JT. Put Ladd with Beau. |
