An observation made on Nuck game is how youth and speed can add to offense from created opportunities on forchecking pressure.

Example, the 1st goal last night that Bo's line scored was after great speed and positioning to cut off outlets to keep the puck in the zone. First by Bo and then by Sven. They kept the pressure up got the puck and cycled. Then Boucher centered to Tree in front and Sven cleaned up on rebound.

Perhaps WD should use remaining games to experiment on new offense styles. Even split up Sedins to give more balance between poise and speed.

Welcome. Just adding from where you are going with this. As you noticed the only NTC's that JB got to waive were in their last contract year. Edler is good until 2019. Besides not having a 1D or anyone close yet to his ability in that role Edler has no desire to leave. He knows about the youth movement and is fine with it. JB if he thinks it's best for the team can ask in the off season if he finds a trading partner. But Edler holds all the cards.

Wrong, Burrows was in his contract year, Hanson is signed for next season as well.

Hanson had a limited NTC where he had to provide 8 teams. We were going off Edler as full NTC and past examples. Plus Hansen was facing being exposed to Vegas by JB. At least now he gets a chance for playoff run to up his value and look at extension.

That's the point. These players waive for teams that will extend them. Edler may do this like Hammer in 2019 TDL. Or maybe by next off season. Just don't see him doing now. What's JB to do? He still can use him.

You're right, I thought Tampa extended him but they didn't, that deal was a long one. Anyways, Benning traded him.

Ya Gillis signed him to the deal and Benning decided after two years he needed some cap space to sign Miller so it was bye-bye Jason. I think he had a full NTC too, still asked him to waive.

His ten goals over the course of the last 3 seasons have sorely been missed
