They produce at a 3rd line pace without top power play time. Maybe separate they would have a bit more production. The Sedin's 5v5 play this year has not beed good either I read. All of the D will have another years experience but i'd personally like to see a guy or 2 that has more experience.

they haven't been split up for like 20 year, why would they now? I agree that it might help them refine their own game..... but it's just not going to happen.

The kids have developed under WD because they haven't been thrown in situations where they don't belong yet.

I'm honestly the biggest advocate to have WD replaced but at the same time he has done that one thing right.

If WD is to stay I hope that Van does pick up some cheaper free agents to help out the kids. Only problem there isn't a lot of room for free agents within top 9

Splitting up the Sedin's should be a start.

Baertschi Horvat Eriksson
Granlund Henrik Goldobin
Daniel Sutter Boeser

4th line well whoever wins.

Just an Idea to have a mix of players young and old per line.

Trade them at the TDL, are they hungry for a SC?

“If he would have stepped up like he did against (Jamie) Benn (Thursday), if he would have stepped up like that against (Brad) Marchand, I think we win that Boston game,” Desjardins said.

From the Province...I guess WD is blaming Tryamkin for the loss to Boston LOL. Never mind they were outshot 42-26 or something like that.

That's laughable, he's one of the positives on this team. He needs speed bag work with skates on.

It's crazy WD said that, how often do you see Chara fight? He's used to always be challenged cause of his size, but does Tryamkin really want to spend his career breaking his hand? Seems like he really wants to be a good defensemen first, not take a ton of penalties.

Wrong, Tryamkin needs to learn how to fight and keep his balance. Once he does, and starts pounding people I don't think you will see players lining up to challenge him.

Yeah, botch was basically saying WD is talking like a coach on his way out. Starting to sound like Torts in his final days.

Most of the season the team was working hard for him every period. These 35 to 45 shots for the opposing team games tell me that his team has given up un him.

Yup...that was the gist of his column today. Desjardin becoming very 'frank' with his comments. Seems to always single out the younger guys and very rarely the veterans. Tough love syndrome doesn't work with today's kids.

His personality doesn't seem aggressive so he needs to learn to develop a 'game face'.

Neither does ignoring that the veterans are getting slower & slower and are never called out for their glaring mistakes.

He's still working his way through the league and a new culture in North America, I don't understand why WD would publicly make a comment about him like that. What's his payoff? What positive can come from that?

I get that he's not asking him to fight Marchand, but rather play more physical against him, however, to solely blame the loss on him is ridiculous.

As botch pointed out, mixed messages between JB and WD. Willie says rookies need to earn their time and JB says 'oh hell, playoffs out of reach so just play the kids'.

Willies sending a message to Management.

Over the last month or more, WD's comments and JB's comments haven't been in sync. There is definitely a difference of opinions there. This spells the end of WD. WD's protectionism of the vets is obvious and the vets are the reason why Van has struggled this year.

Mornin'

The new blog is up.

Tanev's back, Goldobin's not. Neither is Markstrom, so I assume Miller will start again tonight in Edmonton...

We all would like to see Tryamkin play more physical and play meaner but he does need some time and heck he's only what 22?

If this is to end season sure. Would know if BB was ready for NHL. Though don't forget about Boucher and Rodin. They can't be waived. Believe Nucks will give them a shot to start next season. Which means waiver exempt guy's like BB will start off with the Comets. Where Dhalen will be there too.
