Looks like JB's free agent trend for forward now is for guys with size who can skate.

So not on JB radar was Laffs free agent signing of Finn Aaltonen. He scored 19 goals and 25 assists in his first KHL season as a 23 year old 6 foot 188lbs center/winger.

Don't know if he's got high enough skill set. But I bet JB goes for size in draft and any other free agents to ballance out who's in the system and team now.

I don't care if the coach is green, experienced or young as long as he understands that his priority to develop players. I wouldn't even be upset if it is WD next year again as long as he sticks to the goal.

Up until now the mandate has been to make playoffs, mandate has changed it looks.

How was it different last season?

Mandate seems the same to me. They tried to trade vets at the deadline last season as well. They didn't deliberately stand pat... they were not buyers. They added young players last season...

Really? Dallas has better players (suckier goaltenders I'll admit) than Vancouver. And they still stink as bad as the Canucks this year. I'd say Willie D has been a better coach than Ruff to get the same results with a much worse team.

Until the old core is finally turned over, nothing much will change. The suckage will continue.

His legend grows just like his height. Elite has him 5'10", hockeydb has him 5'11" two other articles on leafs have him at 5'10". Nobody has him listed over 176 lbs.

Yeah I got his info from a Laffs source too. Either way I get he's a slight guy.

My point on JB seems to be looking or going for size now in his forwards. Why I bet if Nucks win lotto they pick Patrick. Plus any free agent college players still playing.

0g/0a -1 for Nico in another Mooseheads loss. Been a pretty rough month and a bit for the consensus top 2 pick. Only 1 goal and 8 assists since his 5pt night on Feb 5th.
- DrChristianTroy

... & if anyone's interested, Casey Mittelstadt scored 2g/1a in his return to the USHL, leading the GB Ramblers to a 4-1 victory.

First. Optics and calming the fanbase.
Second. Like I said, going for an AHL coach with no NHL experience hasn't worked out so well, so getting another AHL coach with no NHL experience is stupid.

The kids have developed well under WD. Problem is his stubborness on the PP & questionable lines.

The kids have developed under WD because they haven't been thrown in situations where they don't belong yet.

I'm honestly the biggest advocate to have WD replaced but at the same time he has done that one thing right.

If WD is to stay I hope that Van does pick up some cheaper free agents to help out the kids. Only problem there isn't a lot of room for free agents within top 9

Splitting up the Sedin's should be a start.

Baertschi Horvat Eriksson
Granlund Henrik Goldobin
Daniel Sutter Boeser

4th line well whoever wins.

Just an Idea to have a mix of players young and old per line.

Id like it if those were the lines next season. Would put a big twist into things if canucks picked first or second

Gaunce (Patrick or Hischier) Dorsett

4th line the same as Bo played in his first year. Maybe one of those guys could help Gaunce SCORE! Dorsett did have his best year ever when he played with Bo. May not have a 4th line that doesn't suck bag.

Id be fine with that if they got PP time, last year of the contracts Sedins dont need/ dont produce on it anymore

They produce at a 3rd line pace without top power play time. Maybe separate they would have a bit more production. The Sedin's 5v5 play this year has not beed good either I read. All of the D will have another years experience but i'd personally like to see a guy or 2 that has more experience.

I would honestly be very shocked. I think Green has a zero chance of being named next Canucks coach

For the most part I agreeā€¦call it a hunch.
