Record vs the Atlantic. 12-11. - tomburton99
Record vs the East sucks, AV didn't deserve an extension, should have waited until after the season, gonna be hard to justify that extension when he should be fired if they go out like a poop team |

Losing streak at home now 6, this team just proves all the analytics doubters right, we don't look like a team that can win 16 games come April, I'd be very surprised if we get out of the first round - KreiderBomb
Yeah hard to have positive outlook with this team right now no matter who they wind up playing. |

Continue to lack a killer instinct and finish. Reimer played well, ] but this result is unacceptable after a quick 2 goal lead. Especially this close to the playoffs. |

Reiner is a sieve, Stepan and Fast has glorious chances and made him look a lot better than he is, Rangers wrapped another two points for another MSG visitor |

If we go out in the 1st round the decision is definitely in question, he takes some of the blame for that poop show last night |

nothing that happened last night will have any effect on the playoffs, even if they won 10-0 it wouldn't have mattered |

I don't know how you can consistently look at a such a non consistent team and keep such a high level of confidence, don't make the excuse they're done with the regular season just bring on the playoffs, it's not the effort to skate hard that's lacking it's the effort to play right, getting pucks deep, limiting the unforced lazy turnovers, executing, Maloney is a pretty big Rangers backer and even he says it |

It's not just last night, it's a continuing and concerning lack of consistency, team has played maybe a handful of 60 minute games |

I don't think it's a matter of confidence. It's a matter of having seen around 120 playoff games since 2005 and knowing this team in the position they are in are in limbo until the real season begins.

it's definitely the weirdest position they have ever been in the last 12 years leading up to the playoffs. Many years fighting like dogs to make the playoffs, a couple of years going for first overall. This year literally they can do nothing that will change where they are.
I don't know why anyone would expect them to play with urgency right now, or want them to play with urgency, that moment McDonagh left the ice with the trainer last night my hear went in my throat for a moment. |

I disagree Jim. Florida played the final 40 minutes of that game like their season depended on it...because it did. The Rangers didn't get back to matching the Panthers play until the 10 minute of the 3rd period. If the Rangers can't match up to a Panthers team that will be "in the lottery pool", how can we expect then to match up against actual playoff teams? |

You said it right there. Their season depended on it. The Rangers didn't. I don't believe the Rangers will play that way in the playoffs.
You see I knew people wouldn't consider these throw away games like everyone was saying. That whole theory "these games don't matter, why don't they get Buchnevich playing time" is such a load a crap. People are going to be jumping out of windows no matter when they lose. |

I'm not asking them to play with urgency and there's no need to . What I want to see is they play with structure and play that way consistency . |

1st time seats on the bridge 1st row ..amazing
1st time O T & shoot out great to see but sucks when 18k all leave at once...
Circumstances dictate NOT to over read any homeless win streak or other point the pundits are saying...we as NYR fans have not been able to see a team PREP for the PO's ... hard to manufacture that passion when you dont gain by winning
any more than you have ..maintain your slot & build up for P O 's ....
last nite 2 zip the pace just stopped for NYR ..guys looked like they eased up by not pushing like they had to get to 2 zip.... back to back for Fla ..you do the math
we go on auto pilot & give game back to Fla on a platter ...all Fla had to was grind a little and we watched instead of competed ..YOU COULD SEE IT from bridge view ...amazing seats to gauge all ..so complete ...
building also was terrible for fan support ...DEAD unless prompted I D K if its just
not enough fans & too many tourists especially for a late season no impact game for NYR & St pattys as an alternate event outlet for the nite ... the place was like a schrimmagge game i see at practice ...
I M O we will see a lot of lineups next 3 wks need to get 15 wings & 8 D all on same page.... If P O's start & we dont see the version of this team that started the season we will be 1 & done in the PO's
I havent seen but a spurt of that team & its pace of play or willingness to engage...desperation will be needed then..... bankin AV has us layin in the weeds ..gonna spring like a trap when P O's start ..OH may the next 3 wks pass quickly & with out incident for the NYR's ....L G R

I'm not saying Buchnevich should have played. What I am saying is that team can come into MSG and make the Rangers look inept for long stretches of game. Bad teams at that too. |
