By the way ditch the Crazy Larry dance moment usually at the 5 minute mark of the 3rd ..years ago it was in the messier era a wild young guy going ape shyte bezerk riling up and already riled up blues section...
NOW its a shaved head middle aged spot light on the goofy half steppin guy who
is lookin lame & tired by the end of the spotlight moment..... OMG they shoot mascots like that dont they ????
OMEN:stop this at end of season as a sacrifice to the PO gods .....give him a final
farewell and let him take 1 final bow from the blues
I miss john amirante doin Star Spangled Banner : time for Larry to join him in retirement

I really think at this point I am just sick of everyone. I am freezing myself until the playoffs start. I am out of here for a month.

You can disagree with me. I am open to having this discussion. If you believe that this team can go through the Atlantic that's fine. I don't personally. I think you want to win as many games as possible later in the season to build momentum. They didn't do that later year and it blew up in their faces. Now they haven't won a home game in a month this year. It's concerning

I'm not asking them to play with urgency and there's no need to . What I want to see is they play with structure and play that way consistency .

I get both sides of the argument.

Yeah you want them playing well going into the playoffs, but like some of us have pointed out, it doesn't matter if they win or lose they aren't changing their position in the playoffs.

Why should they play all out in these games that really mean nothing? So someone could possibly get injured.

I just think this year is completely different from last year. Last year was a team fighting to stay in a playoff position, this year they are set where they are, and I honestly don't care how many games they lose till the end of the season, I just want everyone healthy on game 1 of the start of the playoffs.

I will also add I had no faith in last years team and figured it was a 1st round exit. I think you will see a different team this year. Maybe i am naive but this team is miles ahead of last years team.

The home play is concerning. They are two completely diff teams home and away, I don't get it.

I'm not asking balls to the wall every shift but I would like to see them playing hard every shift . That means picking up your man on the back check . Bearing down and burying your chances when you get them . I have a hard time watching play like the second period last night . If they work their asses off and lose fine but just to show up because the game is on the schedule just doesn't fly with me .

You said it right there. Their season depended on it. The Rangers didn't. I don't believe the Rangers will play that way in the playoffs.

You see I knew people wouldn't consider these throw away games like everyone was saying. That whole theory "these games don't matter, why don't they get Buchnevich playing time" is such a load a crap. People are going to be jumping out of windows no matter when they lose.

- jimbro83

Rangers haven't locked up anything, some may think coasting is acceptable but as professional athletes if you're coasting this late in the season you may as well break out the golf clubs and get your spikes shined, that's not a winners mentality but maybe that's why we haven't won anything in a long time

What matters is playing consistently well not consistently sloppy, they didn't deserve a point last night, they gift wrapped 2 points for a team they should have blown out again, the dysfunction on home ice is just as frustrating, like AV said it's the same ice so then why do they look like the Caps on the road and Yotes on home ice?

Get Fast out of the lineup, I'd rather see Vesey on the 4th line and Buch back in

With the travel on a back to back and last night's showing I don't expect anything different tonight

It is hard to get a whole group of people to get in gear over 82 games every game tho. It's human nature to fall off occasionally especially when your playing out a string of games not as important as other teams are playing. I do agree they look awful at times, but this team never ever gets enough credit when they do play well, especially here. The bad play gets harped on much more and as a fan it can be tiresome. No matter how you slice it they have 91 pts in a division that's probably the best the league has seen in eons and those weren't by accident. They haven't lost more then 3 Ina row all season and have the best road record which has to give them some props. I've taking the stance every year lately to judge them in the playoffs, I think it's the fairest thing to do, team wise and player wise

I just think last night was a FL team fighting for their lives. I don't see how the Rangers match that intensity right now. Who knows, I might be completely wrong, but I think we see a different team in the playoffs.

The home games have been an issue all season though. No denying it. I think last night was more of FL knowing they have to win every game to even have a chance at the playoffs.

My favorite lines..

Lindberg and Fast are really good together. Don't care who the winger is with them

I know it's crazy to say based on what Grabner has done all season, but I'd like to see:

Grabner lindberg Fast
Vesey Hayes Miller
Buch Zib Nash
Zucc Step kreider

For a long stretch of games. It gives them balance on every line and a scorer in every line. Glass may be in long term tho as were seeing

Last one then I'm done with this subject and on to tonight's game .
There's a reason why the top players are where they are , besides talent . I'd say 99% of them give it their all all the time . They want to be different makers every shift every game . Even without talent of the stars they can still give it their best effort every game .
Just listen to the players talking about Lundqvist working his ass off every practise and his game prep . Yes he has better skills than most but he works at being the best and sub par games drive him nuts . There's zero excuses for lack of effort !!

But yeah if AV doesn't have those duos starting the playoffs, I will be the 1st to start bashing AV

I'd like to see Buch back with Zib and Kreider, they started the season on fire and haven't been back together since. If not Buch with Hayes and Miller for a few to see how it goes and a 4th line of Grabner Lindberg Glass/Fast could be a highly effective line.
Any idea why anyone would break up Hayes and Miller on the PK? Seems like they get a chance every game SH and they broke them up.

I have made the same argument wayoutwest is making before. Just don't think it applies this year. Not going to be a hypocrite.

If that makes me a wussy, oh well, guess I'm a wussy.
