Didn't they have the same surgery around the same time? Both seem to be skating better at the same time.
- FlyerFan16

Yes and I recall someone at the beginning of the season saying that surgery can take a good year before 100%. guess we shall see. here's hoping to that being a case because Grioux falling off a cliff is a real problem

If you want to get better, probably best not to re-sign crap!

That's the one big question.

What the hell did the Flyers see in Neuvirth, Gordon, Weise, and Belle to give them contracts/extensions. Disturbing.

I'm really starting to question the coaching of this team. The handling of the goalies, especially Mason, has been puzzling to say the least. The massive amount of PK time given to PEB and VdV is also hard to explain as is his willingness to bench kids for making mistakes while veterans seem to go unpunished.

As I've said before, I like his system of play, but it takes more than a grasp of X's and O's to be a successful NHL coach. More and more I see a team devoid of heart and passion and I have to wonder why so many players seem to be having poor seasons.

I'm not calling for Hak to be fired, but I would like to see changes made in regards to some or all of the assistants following this season. That being said, I do believe that 17-18 needs to be a make or break season for Hak. Not so much in regards to wins and losses, but more importantly for a rebuilding club, I want to see players improving and a team that competes hard and shows some fire every night.

What we saw last night is not Flyers hockey and should be unacceptable in the eyes of Hextall.

- BiggE

Very late to this been working all day, but these are my feelings exactly. Hak's coaching and decision making is baffling. Also what is the organization doing with the goalies? Things seem to be unraveling and the team plays like they could care less about winning.

Nothing disturbing about it. Bellemare was a solid signing. He skates and checks well, and is a character player. If they put some more talent around him, he may be able to score more.

The Flyers don't want to go into the off season, without a veteran goaltender signed. I don't know why there were no talks with Mason, who I would prefer, but I understand why they did it. For the record, I am not a Neuvirth fan, and I don't trust him.

Hextall thought based on his track record that Weise could add a big body who can skate and could chip in 10=15 goals, and 20-30 points in a 3rd line role. Didn't happen and hopefully if he remains a Flyers he can bounce back.

Gordon was a veteran of over 600 games, and was a good faceoff man, and reliable penalty killer. The idea was to have an option to take the load off of Giroux having to take too many faceoffs. It was a one year, no risk contract. I'm amazed that people make an issue out of signing Gordon.

If I'm the coach and the GM of the Philadelphia Flyers - playoff hopes aside, I'd be making a very clear and ardent message be known to all my players and staff concerning the performance of the team against the Devils. It's been going on since the Devils manhandled a stacked Flyers team en route to a Stanley Cup appearance back in 2012.

Apologies to all who actually sat down to watch that game last night.

Even steady-freddy Provorov looked out of sorts last night (perhaps too many minutes against the Pens the night before?).

Guy has been amazing in just his first season. Crazy to think that after struggling a bit in the first few games he has done this well. Love Provorov, and would enjoy seeing him with Gudas.

Speaking of, curious what the defense will look like next year. That D may end up becoming the strength of this club.

Myers looks really good from the limited stuff I've seen of him.

Getting a little strange to see Morin get no time.

Manning can go kick rocks. Morin really needs to get his shot in that spot.

The other three prospects can battle it out to see who gets AMac demoted.

Did anyone watch Schenn's post game interview? It was hard to watch. He's gotta have more confidence talking to these reporters and beat writers. He came across like a kid who didn't do his homework and the teacher is calling him out in front of the class. I get that he's young and I do feel bad for him but he looked like he was getting bullied.
