There have been plenty of posts about having him return to the organization in some capacity. Canuck fans have a terrible time letting go. Cant even trade a player without hoping he comes back to be head scout, assistant coach or President
- WhiteLie

I am glad for his term here and cheerfully waved goodbye hoping he never comes back.
Didn't someone post an obscene list of former Canucks working for this organization? And we laugh at the Oliers for hiring most of their former players!

I liked Tryamkins game last night. He went to the net he hit and he fought. I would really like to see more of that.

The Kids PP was very effective and shows me how many years we wasted watching those two puck hogs and being bored to death,

Bo Granlund and Sven offer hope. Happy with the development

Sedins suck and drag the life out of this team . Do us a favor and retire.

- VANTEL

Is it just me or do the Sedins look surprised at times by how slow they have become both on their feet and with how slow the passes are... those soft little passes they use to do... now seem to not have enough on it to even get it to the player...who is still standing waiting for the turle pass to arrive... like a kid who throws a snowball at you and it only makes it 2/3rds of the way...

I have seen people say they would like him to come back in some form or another as a part of the organization, but as a player, I have yet to hear that.

He is showing a massive amount of class...man I hop he comes back to the organization in some role.

You didn't see that fu**ckin douche Kesler doing that. First sign of the team sputtering into a rebuild he's gone like the clown ass douche he is. At least Burrows stuck around a bit to help mentor the kids along...where was Kesler to mentor the kids like it was done for him when he came up from the Moose? F'n douchebag.

- LordHumungous

Wont be a popular opinion, but I respect Kesler's desire to win. The rest of the vets have been going down with the ship not waiving their NTC's to go to contenders while they still have value. Instead they are dragging this rebuild on longer than it needs to be

Yeah I posted it in the last one because I realized we are becoming Oilers 2.0

From last thread:
We have:
Trevor as President,
Stan Smyl as Director of player development (also was assistant coach, minor league team coach, etc),
Jim Benning as GM,
Cloutier as goalie coach,
Ryan Johnson as director of player development,
Scott Walker as player development consultant
Doug Lidster as Assistant Coach
Malholtra as development coach
Baumgartner and Jason King as assistant coaches in Utica
Snepts, Delorme, Gradin are scouts (I am sure there are more in that position)

I respect Naslund for staying away despite Trevor trying to lure him back in some dumb role

It is all about the money and the numbers now. The best thing for the team is to go .

As long as they stick around they are open to criticism and ridicule. It won't get better for them here .

Next year they will get their 7 mil and Danny will get his 1000 point but there will be boos

For such an old man, you really tend to come off as an entitled little girl with statements such as this.

Awesome night for the Nucks last night! The teams that needed points to get ahead of them all got points, the Arizona/Detroit game went to a SO so three points there. Still a lot of hope to grab the number two or three lotto odds spot.
- LeftCoaster

We cant get the #3 spot odds because they go to LV. Thats why finishing at 29 is huge because then you cant fall past 5th in the draft. If we finish 28 we get bumped to 4 and can finish as low as 7.

For me I like the consensus top 5, you have 4 centers and the dman we are missing.

some of the guys on the list are just a coincidence they played in VAN (Benning for example), Tallon is another who has an established career are an NHL exec. I would welcome him based on his previous work and not his ties to the team

The first round Vegas is in the lotto with the same 10% odds as the 3rd spot, for rounds 2-7 they get the 3rd pick

If Burrows returns to MTL after retirement and wants to be a Canucks scout in the QMJHL or something, be my guest, but apart from that, we don't need anymore former Canucks in management lol

Yup! That 2nd round pick is a concern for me to. I think getting the 33rd pick in the 2nd is also a big deal.

Sorry, I already promised Luongo he could cover the QMJHL from Montreal, Burrows has to stay in Ottawa and scout the OHL

Vesalainen used to be top 10, seemed to drop like a stone this year, if anyones going to drop i could see him being the one and if the canucks could get him in the second round that would be sweet

Vegas's odds in the lottery are 3rd but they aren't locked for third overall. I think there is a disconnect between you guys and lefty.
