He looked good during that emergency call up in the middle of the year. I hope that isn't too much pressure as well, but I agree somehow Gorgio, Kuli and Frans need to be gone and replaced if we want a legitimate chance next season.
- RhinoFan

Well, 2/3 of those guys will be gone. Not sure what happens to Gorges though. Still has 1 year left. I doubt GMTM moves him.

Most likely not. 89 said Gorges wants to stay...GMTM likes that. Still at almost 4m on the cap, he's past his expiration date so to speak. Gorges just doesn't have enough left in the tank for a playoff run anymore methinks.

Edit: I just don't know what we can do to bring in what we need to contend. 2-3 defenders in an offseason sounds risky and rushed. MP is probably right, we should hope Guhle works out well and for one solid addition.

Every game I'm hoping for 3 points from Jack and a loss. Last year proved that end of year momentum doesn't carry over season to season + the more they lose the > Chance D*ckhead Dan is fired.

I dunno

You're probably right in terms of end of season winning streaks, but I think unless a team changes personnel on a pretty fundamental level, year after year losing can really get in a team/players psyche.
Lack of confidence can snowball quickly when things inevitably take a downturn.
it's extremely tough to turn it around If it's something theyve seen before and almost expect

Saw the frustration in the players faces year after on the oilers.

I think the oilers rebuild was essentially broken if not for saviour Connor and huge fundamental roster changes in Lucic, maroon and Larsson

The problem is those extra wins sometimes convinces a GM to come out and say something stupid like "one extra win a month and we're in the playoffs" And then not make those big changes.

Respect is earned and reciprocated. You have to earn respect. And a bunch of pariah worshiping a billionaire is not earned respect. It's idolization.

I know this question is a bit out of place on a politics website, but is there anything interesting going in the hockey world today?

Agreed. I don't think that is real given the amount of Likes and Retweets, but we're in uncharted territory regardless. B.E.D. can write a thesis explaining how I'm wrong yet my post will be the one to get deleted.

If that was to Obama and they said they wanted W back my god could you imagine the outrage citing racism and disrespect. Now all of a sudden the narrative changes to ahhh that's ok it is warranted because he doesn't deserve respect. Unreal and I'm not even a fan of him.

This was essentially the problem in the darcy era. The shortened season saved us more than people realize. extra 30 games to climb out of that hole-- we're drafting curtis lazar and giving vanek 8 mil.
