We are hands down the worst team in the league right now. Arizona has been playing fairly well. We should fall to 2nd worst in the standings soon. - Mr.Bobby
That wouldn't be so troubling if we had more then one prospect ranked in the top 50. Most of the teams as bad as us have multiple players ranked on those lists by those highly respected guys and we have barely anyone who can break the list ( not that it matter or that is anything ) |

Odds are he won't make the NHL, so you're good. |

See, I think that was more of Conte. Again, not saying Lou didn't want Europeans, but I know he was outspoken about college kids. And if you look at how Lou ran the ship, he believe in the process, in spending time in the minors, and really earning your stripes. That's basically what the college process does, too.
IDK...doesn't really matter, just discussion points and my two cents. - jersey1414
His style back in the late 80's and 90's, yes. Then he switched to, sign as many 4th liners and grinder's as possible. Although our years of success played into that a bit. |

They built a hole early, but if Colorado played NJ 10 times right now, I think the Avs win at least 7 of them. |

You might be right but we are still ahead of the Coyotes and need them to get some points. I was just pointing out they have a pretty hard schedule and we have a couple of games we might get a point or two in. |

Quenneville got called up. Played 2 games earlier this year. Do =they have to watch how many games he played before he burns a year of eligibility? |

Eligibility? He has been playing in Albany all year. The year comes off because his junior career was done. It doesn't matter how many games he play now, the year comes off no matter what. He could of been injured all year and the year would still come off his contract. |

I'm pretty sure the reason he hasn't been called up much before is due to his +/-. If you look at those that have been called up ahead of Q, they all have positive +/-. I don't see any value in +/- but I guess management believes otherwise |

I'm so disgusted with this team. Tickets for the rescheduled Winnipeg game starting at $7 (balcony!) on Stubhub and I'm not sure it's worth that much. Plus I prefer to watch at home where I can throw up in peace. |

This, though I've seen the Devils ranked anywhere between 9 and 29, all over the place on most lists. Arizona and Colorado have a lot of good players, they just need to get rid of their bad players (and GM/management in Colorado).

No, Hynes just said the other day was because they wanted him to work on his all round game. |

What doesn't make sense to me is that Land and Duc are both very young are former 3rd and 1st overall. If they can address their defense they would be fine, which they can do this year. If the Avas signed Alzner and traded for Orlov, they would be a playoff team next season. Johnson and Barrie are both RHD.
So something like
Alzner-Johnson
Orlov-Barrie
OR drafting one of the forwards, like Tippett, would still improve that team, while upgrading thier D. And not spending money stupidly on 3rd liners like Soderberg. |

Hopefully Shero trades him for a pick, even to VAN for their 3rd would be fine to me. |

I'm not sure he'd bring that high a pick back just for his rights. A 3rd is what Nashville got for the rights to Vesey, but I don't see Kerfoot getting the same kind of hype that Vesey did. Maybe we'd get a 5-7 rd pick, but at that point, it might be more valuable to hold onto his rights until the end with the hope that we could still sign him. |

Probably would get a 5th-7th
Yeah let's trade a high 3rd for a guy that already wants to play here and we can sign in a few months |
