Hey there's a Leaf game on!

*sees Rielly and Zaitsev are both -3 already*

There's definitely a Leaf game on...

It isn't even the points Santos. It is that I watch, and he looks invisible.

What I try to tell myself is that he is concentrating on becoming a complete, 2-way, NHL center and that sometimes offense is going to suffer because of that... and, of course, he is a rookie.

Then I watch Marner, and I don't see the same diappearing act, and Marner is carrying two boat-anchors on his line. Did you see those guys when Marner was injured

Have you taken the time to watch other players extensively over their slumps on thier teams? no

Your problem is that you have so much negativity as soon as something bad happens its all that can happen. Matthews is going to go through slumps every year where he looks off. So is every other player in the league.

He's playing compete 200ft game, he's creating chances out of nothing, making his linemates better.

He hasn't been invisible in the least.

Again, I wish it was cherry-picking, but there is a HUGE pile of poop in our prospect list. It doesn't help that our best young guys are already on the Leafs, but I hope no one is counting on Korshkov, Kapanen, Dermott, Bracco et al, ad continuing a steady stream of talent.

That blog MiB did this week was really depressing.

- Aetherial

Not all of them, that would be ridiculous to think. I think at least two of those players will be every day NHLers. Just because you like them less as prospects does not make your opinion more valid than those who do. It's easier to take a negative stance on things like sports teams if your interested in being able to say I told you so down the road. Which I get the impression you like to do.

Seriously. Saying he's been invisible is simply laughable.

I like the part when the Panthers just steamroll through our defense and drive the net, like every other shift.

Are we really talking about Matthews right now?

There's a twin pair of pylons in Zaitsev (-4 tonight) and Rielly we could kinda maybe talk about instead.

On the third goal Rielly got boxed out in the slot like he was preschooler playing a game of pick up basketball against the Globetrotters.

Seems we fight and pull hair to get into other teams zone most nights and most nights we just allow them free reign.

That shift in the D zone was just a clinic on how to play centre on defense by Matthews.

I'm sure Aetherial saw it too.
