Dallas is demonstrating a textbook tank. The GM is doing his job

Was that from the Hammer signing

Did they trade away all their vets

Luck is with you that Booner has gone fishing.

If he was doing his job he would have traded Sharp at the deadline. Or addressed his sh!t Goaltending and D in the summer. Hamhuis was not the answer. Way to much talent to be behind the Nucks. He is a sh!t GM
- CanuckDon

Sharp was injuried and couldn't be traded. Goaltending is poop. D they thought they could go young and inexperienced.

Should have traded sharp before he was injured regardless, he didn't address any of their glaring weaknesses in the offseason

JB should go after Bereglazov who is 22, 6’4”, 205 lb Defensman who has the size and potentially the skating ability to play in the NHL.

He's a KHL free agent to be and Laffs want him. Just grab him and give him the FC treatment to piss them off. Then trade him @ TDL to rival for kicks.

Unless he shows Tree bonding and pairs up nice with him.

How does that make sense? The contract was Burr's demand to waive. Isn't that added value to already giving up Dhalen?
- Nuck4U

No.

His point is that no one would have paid that price for purely a rental. Contract extension adds value (whether the contract itself is good value is another story...)

There seems to be a need to overemphasize a point that hasn't been made. What's the overvalue on the prospects that you refer too?!? Enthusiasm that is not tempered please show me one posting that does that. Is this another paint job using me to prove a point to others?!?

As for Burr he netted a second round pick who as a prospect has progressed in his development since his draft. I won't add any potentials or suppositions. Though I don't understand falling out of favor. Is that conjecture for being expendable to trade?

Yes. Should have clarified that I guess. Not assumed that by reference to pairing with Tree or FC treatment would be telling.

Also, Ottawa is NOT a preferred destination for free agents

Why, don't they overpay or hand out stupid 6 year airtight deals?

For free agents that's how it goes.

For trades, don't follow.

No it wasn't. You had your targets and got called out. No need to be a drama queen. Especially not necessary given the post you quoted too.

Well Stars got spanked by Oilers and Laffs by Panthers. At least the Nucks for all their failures don't get rocked like that with their AHL and young roster. So it can get better.

"I know we like to underestimate the value of Nuck players as the Burr and Hansen trades showed."

That above was the whole quote not the part your millennial seat cushioned mind tried to tarr and feather (google the meaning son if you don't know it).

Many postings lambasted Burr as having no value to best we could hope for was a low 3rd rounder. Same but slightly higher with Hansen. By the trades JB made it showed their values were underestimated. The usual knocking of the good Nuck players that goes on until they go to other teams and are valued or do so much better.

Where is the show of hands from those saying take anything for Burrows or a 3rd or 4th in a weak draft.
