Not very many posters who can turn a positive into a negative so quickly but you sure as hell find a way....

No it wasn't. You had your targets and got called out. No need to be a drama queen. Especially not necessary given the post you quoted too.

Good one. Here's to you

He produces and has talent no doubt. But I don't like the rat even when he was playing with Sid couldn't cheer for him. Sorry must be one of the lying know nothing about hockey types. Waits for trolls to pound down.

I honestly don't care that he didn't sign. I'm sort of relieved for some reason.

Stecher, regardless of the argument that he wouldn't be playing if our d was healthy, was a home run signing if we compare to past free agent signings and their immediate impact.

That's why I'm not very upset over Aston Reese. Even the "best" rated player from the NCAA free agent class isn't as good as probably the top 5 from last season. He's definitely not STecher or Vesey (who was drafted).

Thats why I am not keen on trying to sign all these kids to 3 year ELC's. Yes Vancouver doesnt have a whole lot, so good on them trying to increase the odds, but this year's crop is mediocre. A 1-year vet keeps a contract spot open for next year rather than 3 years on a kid that might be in the ECHL before it expires

Yes, underclassmen are definitely more intriguing than seniors in my view. Seniors and 20 year old CHLers can be late bloomers but odds are against them

Interesting to see fan bases go through different cycles.

Not long ago JG was our Boeser and we had nothing else to talk about besides getting rid of the old guard and talking about potential of prospects. Without drafting Brodie and JG in the 4th round pretty sure we would still be in the hunt for the 1st overall. Those later round gems are the difference between a 3-5 year turnaround vs a 6-8.

Seems like you guys have a GM that is great at scouting which is something to be excited about.

Sorry what's the source on that for Reece signing?

He may not be a game breaker. Those are hard to get anyway. But he would be a good piece for a lack of depth team. Plus a player Canucks don't have now in their system. Good skating, great on boards and goes to dirty areas with good hockey IQ and now scoring touch. Maybe Labate physically but he doesn't show a feel for the game on doing that well.
