I think Golisano had a clause when selling that the team stayed here for X years at least... so no matter who bought them was keeping them here. I THINK. The billsl on the other hand Terry saved.
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Well, regardless...
Pegula agreed to keep the Sabres here
which was what I originally said

The word "save" was brought up by someone else

For those of you who are really bored, antipin is playing in about a half hour.

Hey Boys,
Fitzy, Ion, 365, That Guy & Slave.....
Great take on Pegula, one common denominator is Russ Brandon - enough already with this Yes Man!

We need a true hockey guy (ex Neil Smith) on this staff!
I have a really good feeling on McDermott (he is the voice of the Bills now) you don't see Whaley at all anymore.

Thought:

Phil Housley - Coach

One more loss closer to the firing of Bylsma.

WGR made a good point this morning. If players (College UFA's) are talking to Eichel, what is he telling them?

"Oh yea I love getting benched every game even though I am the only one playing consistently."

Please fire Bylsma, too much smoke around players V coaches.

- ImThatGuy

1) unless it's someone Eichel (or whoever) personally knows, I doubt there's contact between college player and & current Sabres
It's not like random guy from Minnesota would have Jack's phone#

2) no Sabre (or player from any organization) is gonna say things to dissuade any player from coming here... makes no sense

Irish, big plans for march 17th?

did housley's name not come up for HC position a while back? Thought he said thanks but no thanks could be thinking of someone else though.

People don't seem to get it when I say, " Pegula should build another building and we might be good". That's all he seems to be good at is donating money and building because he can't run either one of his sports franchises. Both the Sabres and the Bills still suck and the Sabres are worse then last year. Hire a football and a hockey guy to run things.

biggest mistake may have been not finding someone to replace lafontaine in that presidents role.

Something is going to have to give sooner or later, what we are seeing with the Sabres and Bills is unacceptable.

I would say the only thing Pegs has missed on is hiring a hockey and football ops guy for both teams, no offense meant but aren't owners supposed to just spend money?

I would think Pegula is the last person we should be dumping on, Im much more concerned over bylsma consistently benching Eichel, there is no way they can keep him behind the bench come next season.
Not saying Pegula doesn't have a roll in what s going on, but hes seems to have done a lot of good for Buffalo.
But I could be completely wrong, living in Ottawa I see Melnyk (SP) do nothing but complain about losing money and bad attendance, so maybe I am biased.

Not saying his isn't doing anything for Buffalo because he is however, this product on the ice and the field is getting unwatchable lately and his is the one in charge that has made these hires and these decisions.

Don't get me started about Bylsma and his decisions on Eichel.

chew out your kids for icing in a 1 goal goal during a time out

that goes over real well for a team fighting for 26th place in the standings in March

pick your battles, our coach doesn't know that line

Bailey, Moulson, and Deslauriers are the only forwards who had less shifts than Eichel last night. Is this because we're so good that we can afford to bench our best player because he's young and made a mistake? Is this because our coach is so good that his message to the players is only not being received by the best player? You go Bylsma! Show Eichel who is boss of this disaster of a team. His benching worked so well that the rest of the team scored exactly zero goals. Thanks Bylsma.

This is the " Norm "in Buffalo sports, always has been. It's ok to " try " that's all that matters but yet do nothing but make excuses as to why we still suck.

This is a mickey mouse organization and things seems to be getting worse and worse by the game. We can't even win 2 in a row for F$$KS sake.
