I like the saying about WWII French rifles, "Great condition, never fired, only dropped once."

I don't get all the ripping on the French
If not for them, we'd have lost the Revolutionary war

My goddamn desk has claimed another phone. It has these stupid square metal L-shaped legs with diagonal braces, my phone fell off the desk and landed on its edge on the corner of the bottom part of the "L". The screen still works, sort of, but I'm not sure for how long. I want to throw this (frank)ing desk out the window.

Some people don't think rapid development is good, nor what Buffalo actually needs.

We have literally all of the mid-1900's to go by on why NOT to develop Buffalo. Modern, rapid development absolutely destroyed cities like Buffalo post-WWII.

What we need is our current infrastructure restored and built upon. Not new developments.

How much money has he invested in Buffalo public schools? Undeveloped neighborhoods? The NFTA? Alternative to the skyway? How much has he actually invested in Buffalo outside of his very narrow interests?

Yeah.

Why is it HIS job to invest $$$ in PUBLIC Schools, etc?
U don't know what you're talking about

And he donated MILLIONS so that CanalSide can be developed
He didn't see any profits from that
But how many ppl go to CanalSide each year?
Tens of thousands that NEVER went there before Pegula donated the $$$
What's that have to do "with his own interests?"

And for that matter...
Keeping the Bills & Sabres here & building the Harborcenter have kept & created jobs in Buffalo...
TRUE OR FALSE?
And it's spurred on other development in them downtown area as well

Please...
tell me all about how development is bad?
He's not building on the Tift Nature Preserve

INFASTRUCTURE is not the job of private citizens
But development, brings in TAX DOLLARS that can be used for the types of projects you're talking about

Or maybe you'd just prefer all the wasted space with buildings in ruins?
Good grief

Fitzy, some people are just born to be miserable and try to bring everyone down with them. That's most of the reason why I stay off this site lately, and I know of other posters who feel the same. I can't stand the negativity that a few of these posters bring, day in and day out. Never, ever anything positive to say (this sucks, that sucks, he sucks, he's a bum, they all stink, etc etc etc blah, blah, blah).

It gets old and tiresome.

While I agree with your post 100%, it is more accurate to say the Sabres were saved by Galisano back in the day...but to your point, people criticize him as well.

Pegula's only fault I see is not having Operational Czars for each of his teams. He had Polian lined up but Bill walked when he learned the Marketing guy had all the power in the organization.

I guess u could say that Galisano saved the Sabres as well
That's fair, even though he's a douche who f*cked us

But I'm pretty sure that there was at least one buyer besides Pegula,
that wanted to purchase & move the Sabres
and not moving the Sabres was part of Pegula's purchase agreement

Pretty sure that's correct,
Unless I'm remembering it wrong

One more loss closer to the firing of Bylsma.

WGR made a good point this morning. If players (College UFA's) are talking to Eichel, what is he telling them?

"Oh yea I love getting benched every game even though I am the only one playing consistently."

Please fire Bylsma, too much smoke around players V coaches.

Um its called being a businessman, he is doing two things here, revitalizing downtown and making himself a butt load of cash. I don't see anyone else stepping up to do any of this. how you fail to understand simple business 101 stuff baffles me.

I think Golisano had a clause when selling that the team stayed here for X years at least... so no matter who bought them was keeping them here. I THINK. The billsl on the other hand Terry saved.

He's not going anywhere with a roster like this. He'll get at least till November next year
