gaborik's deal is on par in awfulness, but worse when you see the player that shows up every night. brown still skates hard, finishes checks, has potted a few more goals, and his speed isn't the problem it is with others on the team.

Out of the two teams, you would have to agree that Toronto has the better opportunity to make the playoffs at this point. LA is 5 points back of two fairly good teams in St. Louis and Edmonton, and have one of the toughest schedules left. I don't like there chances at all. Toronto on the other hand sits a point up already, but my gut is saying that Tampa will grab that final playoff spot. Toronto plays Tampa this week and their 3rd last game, so both teams control their own destiny. Right now, id give the edge to Tampa, especially is Stamkos gets back soon.
