gaborik's deal is on par in awfulness, but worse when you see the player that shows up every night. brown still skates hard, finishes checks, has potted a few more goals, and his speed isn't the problem it is with others on the team.

I wish I would have grabbed a screen shot of Davis Payne pacing and barking holding a grease board that (I shlt you not) had scribbles within one of the face off circles as if he had a stroke while drawing up one of his killer power play designs. No x's and o's, just spastic lines incoherently arranged on a grease board. I couldn't believe my eyes. And yet, he was barking to the players and pointing to this flying spaghetti monster he drew up with his dry erase pen as if he had solved the health care problem in America.

Now, if you or I were that bad at our jobs for a tenth of the time Davis Payne has been bad at his job, we would be out of work, no question about it....

it was the low cost move consistent with what lombardi did in the offseason...hasn't worked then, and this won't work now.
