I went out to dinner friday, then went out for a friends birthday in the city, woke up got some crap done, went to a bar across the st from the garden, bruins game, out afterwards, home for 3 hours then back out to a friends birthday party at his house until 4:30am.

Then some of my family came up from Texas yesterday and wanted to go out

Soshnikov has the speed and skills to do so much more but he's stuck on the fourth line.

Spped I agree.
Skills I am not so sure.

It's nice to get your weekly required caloric intake done in one meal.

Oh I love it!
That's why I don't eat much Poutine or I would be dead by now.

The real question is would Vegas actually take Martin if we did leave him exposed? Seems like the focus for them is young and fast, not sure they would select Martin.
- Roadrunner75

Could be, although Fehr has a prior relationship with McPhee and he's signed another year.

I suspect Lou will be wheeling and dealing with Vegas to protect the players the club wants to protect outside of the list.

To me, Komarov has to stick around over Martin, but I don't know if management feels the same way.

He's a bit snake bitten, for sure, but I don't see him potting a ton either; needs to drive to the net more.

Speaking of that: Hyman, since a couple of scrums and goaltender interference calls, doesn't seem to be driving the net as much as he was.

Dude does not have nearly enough skill to do otherwise.

Hard to bust the Hyman if he doesn't knock on the door

Hyman I see a good 4th liner playing over his head, it is truly amazing Matthews has been able to produce as much as he has carrying the guy. I admire his work ethic but he won't be on 34's line next year

Expansion Draft kryptonite: Eric Fehr

Nothing about the Shanaplan tells you they'd acquire this guy without knowing they can get out from under his contract next year, especially only getting a 4th back to free up cap space for the Pens.

Note the deal was completed AFTER the Golden Knights were officially given the green light (around noon on deadline day) to begin conducting official business. Book it.

Good thing we got Matthew's because the rest of that draft seems like a bunch of maybe ahl players and a khl guy. Grundstrom could be interestung but dont we already have one SEL guy doing not much. Woll night be a nice pick.

yeah, no real standouts so far. still early, but a few of these guys need to pan out if we are going to have some long-term success.
