The real question is would Vegas actually take Martin if we did leave him exposed? Seems like the focus for them is young and fast, not sure they would select Martin.

Martin is Marner's spirit animal you can't separate them.

LV's best strategy is to select and acquire as much skill as possible immediately. Guys like Martin can be had fairly easily, therefore a waste of a pick..

Not a fan of blue cheese at all. Malt vinegar isn't bad, although I'd easily choose gravy over vinegar if I've got the choice.

I love making homemade fries with our fryer and then making poutines. Fry up some ground beef, shred some cheese and make some gravy... Delicious.

This to me seems like a good reason why we don't need to protect him and can instead protect someone like Rychel or Lipstick. If it seems highly unlikely they'll take him over others we expose, such as Fehr, then protect someone else.

it seems to me that they would take Marincin, over Fehr or Martin.

I hope that's true. I like Martin in the lineup tbh. He does some good things out there and keeps teams honest. He's not a McLaren/Colton Orr type plug and doesn't bog his line mates down due to a lack of speed. Marincin would be addition by subtraction imo.

I'm not sure who the Leafs need to protect but if you guys end losing one of the three... it's really no big deal.

malt vinegar is good when it's accompanied with some halibut fish.

doesn't he need a contract to be exposed to the expansion draft?

I think RFA's need to be protected. Not UFA's since Vegas will have a chance to negociate with every pending UFA before july 1st.

I'm not opposed to that.

If I am Leivo right now I am not a happy camper. Sitting for months, get in the lineup and produce, then forced to sit again while Martin/Soshnikov/Hyman produce virtually zilch.

It has to be discouraging for the guy, and he can't even go to the Marlies and help them down the stretch.

Give him a break.

Nice combo, Mike!
Blue cheese is fantastic! I dip my suicide wings in that poop too!

Speaking of Poutine, Yes! I dump Ketchup ALL OVER that shizzy! If there's chilli powder laying around, I'll sprinkle that too!

Soshnikov has the speed and skills to do so much more but he's stuck on the fourth line.

It's nice to get your weekly required caloric intake done in one meal.
