Meh. Carolina dosnt deserve the lead right now.

I know it is a minority opinion but Ottawa is entirely in love with Phaneuf for the job he has done in helping Cody Ceci grow his game. Phaneuf is also given a lot of love for his being a strong supportive voice for Karlsson learning to be a strong captain.

Are there no second thought about the Leafs having given up Phaneuf for essentially nothing. Watching Leaf games I wonder if Morgan Rielly in particular would have benefited by the Leafs having kept Phaneuf.

The rule should be, if they're in the blue paint and you hit them (and you aren't pushed in) you get a 5 minute major, but if they venture out of the blue paint they're fair game.

Sorry to criticize the golden child, but this periodic disappearing act where he appears completely disinterested for weeks at a time is a little annoying. I hope he grows out of it.

It is frustrating. Could be tired. Could have nagging injuries. But its normal for kids. I am more concerned when our VETS disappear for large chunks of the season...

He didn't disappear last time, he still had chances like usual. This time he looks slow and isn't winning battles anymore. Either tired or hurt would be my guess.
