2 Years ago it didn't get above -15 here for 2 weeks in feb. Southern alaska didn't go below 20° that whole time. I was on my boat fishing in shorts and flip flops two weeks ago though.

It's way easier just to hit up the public pickups. We've got 4 rinks around here in like a 40 minute radius that does pickup pretty often. I usually play 2 or 3 times a week. Way easier to stomach 15-20 a skate than to try and get enough guys to scrape up 200.
