Itd be nice if dermott was ready.. Lots of people get excited about Nielsen but ive read a few times defensively hes struggling in the AHL
- ClarksonDavid

Bob didn't say anything yesterday about Nielsen, all his praise was on Dermott. Not sure if he was saving Nielsen for another day.

But like I said 2 months ago....Nielsen at worst if he were in the NHL right now is already a Cody Franson. He's going to be a very good one I think too.

Bullpoop. You thought the Bruins were going to sweep us or beat us 4-1, just like everyone else.

???????

We are talking about the Canes series, bucko.

Do you kids even know who used to say "bucko?"

Oh, the series the injury brigade got us too, and then were all forced to sit for the regulars coming back from injuries.

What could've been had Sundin not been nailed into the boards in the first round.
Roberts and McCauley were fun to watch through it all too.

Also isn't it buckaroo?

Dermott is pretty underrated by Leaf fans. I think he has top 4 all over him.

Dermott, Bracco and Dizikrals. Let's wait and see on that trade....

Garrison to me is no better than what they have. (Polak and Hunwick)
Franson might have been interesting simply because they don't have a guy like him anymore, I can't think of a single leaf d-man with his shot from the point.

Nobody in the dressing room, mind you, is seeing any humour in the precariousness of their defensive game, although there are those wondering aloud if some Leafs are taking it seriously enough.

“We’ve just got to think about defence more, and not about points, not about personal things,” Zaitsev said before Thursday’s game. “We’ve got to think about our team . . . because nothing can be better than the playoffs. This is the fact. For the players, for the city, for the fans, for everybody – the playoffs is the number one thing. Nobody will remember your points. Everybody will remember how you were in the playoffs. This is my point of view.”

How can that not be everybody’s point of view? That Zaitsev was suggesting some Leafs don’t see it the same way tells you that the plus-minus woes of the top defensive pairing isn’t the only shortcoming to be concerned about.

Good to see ol' Feschuk has found a tiny bit of smoke he can use to pull the fire alarm with again. Keep up the ridiculous work, Dave!
