Florida really fell off. I was worried about them too.

When they got Huberdeau back and a couple other guys they really turned on the rockets and got some needed points out west against some tough competition and looked pretty dangerous. Not sure what happened to them after that...

I agree! would love to play one of OTT or MON in the playoffs.
- Lucas.Neilson

The leafs havent beaten the habs in 3 years.....so not a good matchup.

The sens would be fun....but they would be tough.
Id hate to lose to them.

I hear that fake, I do.

that's why I want it.

all those losses would mean nothing after a round 1 victory am I right

we've done well vs sens in playoffs in the past but this year has been a tough go

That would be amazing. I've never seen the Habs vs Leafs in the playoffs (thanks Fraser) and the Sens historically poop the bed in the playoffs vs Leafs despite regular season superiority.

Much different Sens team now. No more Jacques Martin

the other game i think the announcer said Toronto is 0-10 against the Habs... I was kind a shocked to hear that... but at one point I think Toronto hadn't beaten the Canucks in 7 or 8 years... so i guess its possible...

Very true.

but the last person I want to face in the playoffs....is Price.
Specially from a leafs point of view....Price is in their heads. He owns them.

Much different sens team now.

I think all those Sens teams had Jacques Martin and Patrick Lalime in common... Neither is there now and a pretty decent coach is in charge plus a goalchie who can match up with pretty much anyone except Price who is the best in the league...

I don't think you can compare these Sens with the Sens of old...

- kaptaan

You're right, those teams of the past have nothing in common with the current one. Same can be said of the Leafs who were loaded up with experienced players vs a bunch of kids and veteran leftovers from multiple epic collapses. Just reliving distant memories of playoff joy seasoned with the salty tears of Sens fans. I didn't even think this would be a legitimate talking point in March back when the season started.

We’d be wearing different shoes. Back then, we had the veteran team and they had the young up and coming team.

Was so along though.

Oddly enough, I think the Penguins or Rangers are the best matchup. Mostly because the Sens and Habs bore the living (frank) out of the Leafs forwards and make them sulk and lose. The Rangers and Penguins play much more up tempo and that falls into the Leafs all attack style better.

0-13 I believe.

Against the canucks, it wasnt 7-8 years but it definitely was several...however thats playing them once or twice a year.....not 4 times.

I just don't think they have the depth for a playoff run. People keep pointing to their record since the TDL. Wins are wins but that's only 5 games that included COL, DAL and ARI.

Either way, it's going to super tight down the stretch.

yeah, i can see a playoff series with the Sens adding fuel to the provincial rivalry. it'd be a good series. the only thing is that i think the difference would be on D... I think the Sens would get the edge in the series due to the D superiority...

whatever he did here, Phaneuf is actually doing well in Ottawa. Karlsson is one of the top players overall in the league, not just among d men.

Not sure why Toronto didn't shore up their major weak point...
