You Bills fans, I wouldn't worry. You think the Bills are a mess, just check out Washington right now.

I'm trying to talk a coworker off a ledge.

I'll probably watch at least part of it. Mostly because I like watching Eichel play.

Probably depends on when I get home. Have to pick the b/f up from the airport at like 5:15, we need to get dinner and then go pick a gift up for his niece's birthday party tomorrow.

Free agent WR Justin Hunter is visiting the Patriots on Friday.
The former No. 34 overall pick of the Titans, Hunter spent time with the Dolphins and Bills last season. He caught just 10-of-23 targets for Buffalo, but turned them into 189 yards (18.9 YPR) and four touchdowns. Hunter had a nose for the end zone and was used in red-zone packages often. The Patriots lack big, tall receivers with speed, and Hunter has that at 6'4/203.

The Bills' release Thursday of safety Aaron Williams was not designated as a post-June 1 cut, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates. That means the Bills save only $1.775 million against their 2017 salary cap by releasing Williams; they would have saved $4.2 million if they made Williams a post-June 1 cut.

the way sal on wgr explained it, the bills chose to take on the full $4.8m of dead-cap space this year by doing it now, as opposed to splitting it $2.4 and $2.4 over this year and next had they waited until june 1...at least that's what I gathered from his explanation

Bills did it for a reason. Next year the cap it will be gone. If they cut him now they pay it up front. If they cut him in june we would owe half this year and half next year. The signed Hyde for Williams money

Now i understand.

it's all about timing...with a post July e 1release that larger cap savings is not available til then. so it will be a mistake only if they don't use Part of the $1.5m now or before June 1.

Despite the emoji collection, there's no dead cap in 2018 if they do it this way.

Either the Bills actually thought about the move, or #CrookedRodak spelled it out in a way that the front office had no idea what they were doing and just said oops now we have all this dead cap space.

I guess they feel they have enough money for this year

I will still pause and wait on this, since they did make the 2 best free agent signings last year on the cheap with brown and alexander

problem is they only locked them up for 1 year
