based on what you watch on CNN...

give it a rest...you don't have to like the fact he's in charge...but the whining about it is getting old

- Whatnot78

Why did Tillerson gut the State Department, essentially firing anyone that has been tough on Russia over the years, including agents with decades of experience and distinguished careers? The historical fabric of the State Department has been ripped away, I wonder why?

Do you think that the Russians hacked us without expecting anything in return? A little reading material from Congressman Eric Swallwell who is on the House Intelligence and House Judiciary committees.

- Hatboro_Swords

they are 1 and 2 on my board

draft a cb, and grab the best safety in second rd if they go in the top 9, and they probably will

He has a cousin that's a real estate agent. Right now we're just going to look at some open houses I think and go from there. He also is considering doing a new build. His sister and her husband did that and have been in theirs for a little over a year now, so that's something he's kicking around as well.

They made a huge jump in the year after they drafted Eichel. To see them make another pretty significant jump would have been nice, but in a lot of ways, unrealistic.

I think they have a good portion of the pieces they need. Unfortunately, they're missing a few significant ones. Namely 2 top 4 defenders.

Correct ............anyone who thought Murray was going to be able to assemble a cup contending team in a year or two was/is delussional. Considering he basically had to start from scratch ................. I'm fine with where we are headed.

We're close people ................. just chill

Nope - $29m before A Williams savings and the FB's contract (which basically wash out). So around 28-29m

You have to subtract to 2 FBs and K they are signing.

You do realize that someone can easily do this same type of article based on Obama and his Muslim Brotherhood ties, right?

I don't think anyone is saying that. I think they are saying they are wasting a great year from a superstar. Which is totally fair.

He's going to have even better one's going forward. I don't get the point. Nothing was wasted.

You can't get to high offices in politics without ties to some less than desirable people. Fact.

I agree but the notion we're close is laughable. Our top defensemen was what a minus 5 the other night against an average team?

"Wasted" might be a harsh term, but when you acquire the pieces you did, and paid the price you did to get them, it's a more than slight disappointment when your best player has this kind of season.

anybody witness the thuggery displayed by the Pens last night? The crap that team gets away with. All because Malkin went head hunting and the NHL looked the other way (because, duh, Pens). I really hate that team. Thanks, Bylsma.

a very rare great year from a 20 year old making less than a mil? When you dont take advantage of having that and whatever you want to call Reinhart as well, you have to some extent wasted the opportunity. At least when you've made as many moves as the GM has.

Close meaning ............... we have far less pieces to replace NOW than we did a year ago. You give us a few solid D men and we are playoff bound. If that's nor close I don't know what is.

And all of those pieces have performed very well. It's the pieces he didn't replace YET that are the problem.

again this is kind of down playing it. if it was just needing a 4 and a 5 thats one thing. They need a top 2 and top 4 guy. Thats not by any definition "close".

And most likely pry a piece from the forwards (their strength) to try and fix it.

we added a piece this past summer, top line winger

and got similar if not worse results this year

aside from getting 2 top 4 d men

we have real chemistry issues
