Little off topic, but one of my favourites to share:

A guy I worked with told me his kid played AAA (highest Ontario league for children) against Gretzky one year. One game in Niagara Falls, Wayne was out with the flu. NF was beating Brantford 5-0. Walter took Wayne down, got him dressed, CARRIED HIM OUT TO THE BENCH, then Wayne scored 6 goals in the 3rd to win it.

Interested.. who knows how exaggerated it is, but not far fetched lol.
Go to his Restaurant in Toronto and his teams end of year stat sheets are in a case from when he was like 9 or 10 years old. One season he scored 378 goals and had enough assists to push him over 500 points for the year... I believe that was the year he played D because they wanted to get him more icetime, and they only had 3 or 4 defensemen lol

Lots of times as kids they put the best players on defense so they can touch the puck more and just go end to end without having to rely on some kid that can't skate to get them the puck.

Yea he's been pretty invisible offensively. We need to consider major line juggling outside of Grabner-Miller-Hayes.

I thought Buch looked great last night and deserves a spot next to Step or Zib going forward.

Vesey and Nash stood out to me
A lot of the after the whistle scuffles seemed so fake and manufactured I was just shaking my head. They looked like baseball "fights" you know when the benches empty, and the pitchers come in from the bullpen and then they all get together in a crowd near the mound and chat... hahaha

I read the first page, then jumped to the end and here we are. Surprised it took him this long to post the Daily Stepan Update.

LOL
Does flagging result in an automatic ban or its reviewed?
Honestly, nothing ban worthy, he is just posting stats to rile people up, and it works..

I assume it just gets reviewed...at least I hope that's the case, 'cause I did flag it!
Just trying to be a man of my word!!
Mostly because I thought you could really see an extra effort to Step's game last night. I think he's aware that his current slump is unacceptable.

I think he actually thinks I am Derek Stepan and needling me about his slump will affect him on the ice

Does that mean they decided not to tweak it this season? I can understand that. But if that means they're leaving it be for the foreseeable future then that's asinine.

it's absolutely absurd

a league that has talked about changing the size of the net to increase scoring disallows goals if someone had a skate in the air above the blueline, sometimes 30-45 seconds before the goal happened

mind boggling

I thought he was real close last night to breaking out, definitely more visable, that line was alternating zones on each shift, getting pinned then good on possession, you can tell it's weighing on him, his reaction to the puck that hopped over his stick showed it, the giveaway on the PP was almost a killer, he needs to find his game soon before the playoffs come and he's an easy target for a trade
