Jared is the youngest.

He's having a nice season for the Capitals. 33pts in 38gp.

The Edinburgh Capitals. Of the Elite Ice Hockey League. In England.

Imagine your 3 older brothers have all played in the finals or won a Stanley Cup and you're scraping by playing F-level professional hockey in the UK? That has to suck.

I think capfriendly used to have incorrect information on the Marc Staal buyout, because now when I do it, it's not as bad, doesn't have that 5.5 million hit in the final year anymore

it isn't that bad, he could be bought out in a couple of years I think

It should get less and less as time goes on, because the money outstanding continues to decrease.

Wonder if Brendan Van Reimsdyk will make it. Crazy if 3 brothers from Jersey play in the NHL

Absolutely correct. Can't believe I didn't realize that as I typed in Jordan.

Yeah, that's gotta sting for him.

What about Joey and Brian Mullen from Manhattan in the 80s??
at least Jersey has a ton of rinks an organized hockey for those guys.

And if you really want to be impressed read into how much Nicky Fotiu would travel from Staten Island as a kid just to find Ice Time in the 60s and 70s

Now Jersey has a bunch of rinks. Hell when I was growing up, they were no where.

He's 21 and a freshman at UNH, I think the odds are stacked but maybe he's a late bloomer

Its weird. I played against him (may have been Trevor) in roller hockey and didn't realize it till after cause they didn't stand out one bit.... I guess roller made it a big difference for them. I just assumed he has one brother that wasn't very good but I guess I was wrong.

If the Rangers win the cup this year or next, I'd expect Marc to retire (which would save the Rangers lots of cap room). He probably thinks the next injury might incapacitate him permanently.

Use to go there all the time as kid. It really was the only one in north Jersey. The town next to me used to flood their outdoor basketball court, that was always fun and dangerous.

Apparently James was a stand out at a very young age in Brick.

For all the Mtl talk as a possible opponent...no one is talking aboot Ottawa. 4 pts back, 2 games in hand and they still have 3 h2h games bs each other. Habs do have easier games on paper however. Either way I still fell more comfy vs those 2 as opposed to either Pitt or cbj

He was also the 2nd overall pick... He always stood out.

I knew some guys that were playing open hockey and he showed up (talking after he's been drafted). They said the stuff he could do was just crazy and it honestly wasn't even fun trying to play against him.

The fix in bar ruled. There was one that closed down pretty recently kind of near me. Actually heard it was the last one standing around here. Are they all extinct now?

Old Bridge, Princeton, South Mountain, Mennen Arena, just to name 4 off the top of my head... again it was a loooong time ago, lots of the small local colleges had teams and played in other arenas too.
