Well we gave away Talbot to you (frank)ers. Thank god we got Raanta. Rangers have been a lucky team to have such capable backups in recent years

I think Brandon Halverson is the next guy, if they still think he's too young, maybe they try and re-sign Hellberg, but he's a UFA

Forgot about Hellberg. Well if Raanta does get picked, I hope Halverson has a very long summer with Allaire

Why? What has he done to make him irreplaceable?
- Tonybere

hes played pretty well with Skjei and brings something that half the D cant do.

RD made up half the shyt that was in that quote all he said was he was disappointed to be taken out considering this is his only shot with Klein and G out right now. Unless Kampfer has a shot of playing in the playoffs which I dont think he does, why not play a guy who could potentially be playing in the spring?

Halverson still hasn't turned 21, pretty solid season in AHL as a 20 year old, considering how atrocious the defense of the Wolf Pack is

^This. I mean every goalie we've had going back to even Weekes said how great & nurturing Benny is. Hank called him his guru. From Valliquete through Biron, Talbot & now Raanta any backup we've had to Hank has been very solid. I think a lot of fans take for granted how lucky we've been with great goaltending for 12 years now.

Probably going to select unprotectable-superstar Tanner Glass, IMHO tbh

I'm not going to get into the Clendening Kamfer debate, because I really don't care enough, but after I read his quotes yesterday I don't see what he said was so outrageous or even remotely scandalous. Basically he thought he would have a good shot with the injuries, and he is disappointed about being out of the lineup.

You don't think I listened to RD. Do you??? I read the article from the link here yesterday.
And I haven't had any problem with the job Clendenning has done when he's in this season. He's a spot replacement. Can't expect too much and he hasn't often been glaringly bad. I just don't like guys airing things to the press that should be discussed with the coach behind closed doors. And I honestly didn't see anything from Kampfer that was too bad for a guy just getting his feet under him.

I guess my thing is, if they like Kampfer then waive clendening and play Kampfer.. you gotta develop someone so they're ready when called on. if its not gunna be clendening then thats ok but I think the guy has to play when the spot is open, not flip flop

And something that I think bears mentioning is how well Smith has acquitted himself since coming over! I had limited expectations from what I had read, but he plays with an edge and while not amazing, he has a good IQ and positions himself pretty well.
Going by last night though, it looks like he shoots like me!!! That would be bad.

no way..just in grit needed in PO's puts Klein so ahead of Clendening

got way to much press from bloggers..... His concern ,comparison, and

what team needs is ...He's DONE ,he knew it thats why is spoke out

got nothing to lose now.... he is technically 9th on depth chart ...
Graves or a Conn callup is higher now.... BYE BYE ..

I don't necessarily disagree with you. Just thought they inside guys might know something we don't that made it worthwhile giving him a shot. I don't mind that either.
We definitely need help at the top end, but if we have several good enough to play third pair, maybe a try-out here and there isn't a bad thing?

You think he'll have trade value when the Rangers blow it up?
