Anybody else have a weird feeling that if they ever moved Gardiner, he'd grow a brain or something? Like Justin Schultz gained confidence in being insulated by a team structure where he can be utilized to his strengths?

Leafs have a great head coach, a great conditioning coach, a goaltending coach, a special teams coach, and two winning Assistant coaches.
I'm not sure any of them really know how to teach defense to defense-men (including DJ Smith) which is a big hole in the staff.

So would Gardiner grow a brain somewhere else.

Hopefully Babcock adds a teaching specialist for defense-men to his staff this off season.
