I was a hater of Mike Yeo when he was in Minnesota, and not much has changed. Tough loss indeed. With Calgary's playoff push, points are of supreme importance, and to lose in that fashion was not good. Let's face it, Lindholm went for the highlight reel hip check and missed. More often than not everything Lindholm does is generally the best course of action. Poor John Gibson, OMG he missed the hip check, OMG no one got their stick on the cross ice pass.
Losses happen. They're 5-5-0 in their last 10. The playoff picture is becoming more clear. Is this group content with being a lower seeded team? They're playing like it.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Ducks 07 blog from Ed. That was a special year. This franchise has made so many strides since winning the cup. Production quality, minor league affiliates, fan engagement, I could go on and on. It'll be nice to see all the old players. I don't know what Penner's been up too, but you got to hope Pendemic will show up. If that 07 team had one thing, it was characters. I'm Looking forward to a fun broadcast tomorrow! |
