That's fair...
but guys like Guhle & Pu are still in Juniors
Fasching, Bailey & Baptiste are all doing well as Pros

But regardless of how u want to rank them...
my point is that Fasching is a good prospect seen as a top6 winger
He's not junk
I think teams would value him

- jdfitz77

i like fasching, i dont think hes done enough so far to say hes doing well in the pros. Granted he was injured but still.

Not sure anyone but murray sees him as a top 6 guys, probably a high end 3rd line guy

Agreed, not sure what the rules on acquisitions are leading up to the expansion draft but its a good template of sorts.

The cool thing is that we're in a position where we can take advantage of some of these teams that are in a tough spot

Anaheim isn't the only one

If u go to that link Homie shared,
It gives u a good idea of which teams will have to make moves

Agreed . Can't just say they are worthless. Other teams could need hium to fill a need. Similar to us getting another teams player. Their fans will have the same mixed opinions of him.

I'd say a big forward who projects as a 20 goal scorer is a "top6" guy
Not all teams will like Fasching, he's not a good skater
But I'm sure there's still quite a few who are high on him

Exactly
And the Ducks could use a good young forward they don't have to protect
I think we are good trade partners
But we'll see...
the Sabres aren't the only team who could give up a "Fasching" to them
There's very well could be another guy they like better than what we offer

I still think foligno, larsson and fasching could get us a top 4 d man from the ducks

esp if kane is extended

Keep in mind that it is a seller's market. Just about everyone needs young D.

But not everyone can take a defenseman they'd have to protect
There's only a couple teams besides up that have open slots
And if we're willing to lose one of Girgs, Foligno or Larsson to Vegas...
then we can protect 4 defensemen,
Which would allow us to trade for TWO

Agreed, and that's why I said young defenseman. Lots of teams want to swap out / leave unprotected their own Bogosians so that they can get younger and cheaper.

Sure...
but Nylander can probably use more time in the AHL
and is Asplund "ready" for 3rd line NHL duty?
I'd doubt he is
Haven't seen him play much though. Maybe not at all actually...
How's his speed? I don't remember hearing about it

Where are Moulson, Ennis, Fasching, Larsson and Foligno? We are gitting rid of all of them?

Even if some exit via trade, I can't imagine we get takers for Moulson/Enzo AND trade all these guys too.

Tough to tell just from a highlight or 2 though
I'll try & look up some info on Asplund to see about his skating
I'm pretty sure he'd benefit from some AHL time though...
it's a different game over here
Many Euro's struggle for a bit to adjust
Just look at Nylander

Not that I'm saying Asplund stinks...
I just don't know that I'd be willing to slot him at 3C for next season

Slots are irrelevant. Lots of teams are looking to upgrade. If that means leaving someone else unprotected or trading them, so be it. Everyone wants D.
