he's actually 6'8.5" the 6'7 comes from the khl website but it was wrong along with his weight which was listed as 220. How do we know its wrong? Because when you see his official height in cm's and you do the conversion properly it comes out as 6'8.5...if done incorrect its 6'7. This was discussed in depth near the end of last season here

i am actually looking forward to the next game for the first time in awhile.
Curious about the lineup, curious about our draft picks (does anyone know for sure if we got that CBJ pick?), curious who takes the leadership mantle (my guess is Sutter).

Vegas nights are open for business , so let the deals begin.

This means teams can trade B prospects like a Subban or Brisebois to protect their roster. Let the games begin.

This is where you go to Vegas mgmt and say we will give you Will Lockwood if you take Loui Ericksson contract off our hands

When they asked JB about whether Horvat would get the A now he said they're planning to move it around a bit so I'm sure we'll see Sutter, Bo, Edler, all take a turn with it

Yes .

Ian MacIntyre was hinting the other day that someone with a NTC or NMC on the Canucks might be willing to waive it.

Looks like Vrbata handcuffed ARI the same way he did to us last year.

Edler had to go, I was clamoring for MG to move him at the draft before his deal kicked in...

Wrong. Last year was Benning's fault for not trading 2 players who didn't want to be traded after they both said as much publicly time & time again.

Fault for not trading them when they didn't want to be traded.
Is that the same as...

Vrbata had complete control both drafts. I think Benning muffed up on the Hamhuis trade though. No reason to not have got anything for him.

Hamhuis said all year long he did not want to be traded. He finally succumbed about 48 hrs prior to the TDL when other GM's completely low-balled Benning. Benning was f*cked either way, not trading Hamhuis & half the fan base has conniptions, trade him for a 4th and the other half loses it's sh*t because Benning didn't get enough for a former gold medal Olympian.

He waited until the Canucks were out of contention which didn't leave him enough time to negotiate with either the player or other teams. With Hamhuis anyways, Vrbata was a knob. He was more proactive this year and got quality assets for two players with trade protection.

I think that Benning screwed up last year, but he's clearly learned from his mistakes, which is all I can ask.

Also Dallas (one of the very few Dan would waive to) preferred Russell and was working Calgary and Vancouver to lower price. Definitely keep me on the side of not selling an Olympian from the season before for a 4th round pick. Wasnt hurting the tank job and that 4th rounder is a long shot regardless of JB's draft success

I would also imagine the late start on negotiations was due largely from Aquaman pushing for a playoff spot revenue
